KFC Isle of Wight - Lake — Restaurant in England

It was 10pm on Wednesday evening. The Restaurant was totally devoid of Customers. One young lad was sweeping up and putting chairs on tables. He very politely apologised and said he would be with me shortly - which he was. I replied with "That's fine. I haven't made up my mind yet " I ordered a meal for one with 4 pieces of Chicken and French Fries. £9-49. Kerumbs!!! I could have a Huge Fish and Chips and Garden Peas dinner for a pound less in Morrisons next door. Only problem there is that they stopped cooking 7 hours earlier. Oh well let's go home and see what I have got. I tried several chips - and they were definitely Badger Food Only. Bit late in the night for the Seagulls this time of year (11/9/24). So I swill the poor taste down with the Pepsi (no ice). Hmmm. Very poor. Too much water in the Mix Chef?? Not very nice at all sadly. We are not doing very well are we KFC? So, on to the Chicken - well I hope it is anyway. Hhhmmm - just thinking about the missing Seagulls 😂😁. Nah!! 🙄

I think it had spent a little too much time in the warming cabinet. Would I have been better coming in on a Friday night when the turnover of food would have been faster perhaps. But I will never know...

Like most people I love KFC, and tonight was no different, but unfortunately the Lake branch of KFC got our order very wrong. We were given somebody else's order by mistake.

My wife called the Lake branch and spoke to the Duty Manager; Matt. Whom apologised profusely and said that he would rectify the mistake immediately.

when I got to the drive-thru window I explained what had happened and was greeted by one of the team whom passed me onto Matt (Duty Manager). Once again Matt apologised to myself, and again explained what he was going to for me as a way of an apology.

I was more than happy with the outcome of this visit and I would fully recommend the Lake branch. Not only for its customer service and how it dealt with the mistake, but also how they went out of their way to make one of their customers happy.

Great service at checkout by Caitlin although I mean this is with no harm or offence to the lovely worker I did notice that when she picked up my mini fillet burger she took a large indulgent sniff and exclaimed “God damn! This chicken be clucking”. She then resumed her warm smile and handed me, my chicken burger. Furthermore again reiterating the that I mean no offence or harm at this amazing staff meeting (Caitlin) there was a bite taken out of my mini fillet chicken burger, this did cause some annoyance as if you have eaten on before you know if the cute small scale of this burger therefore this bite removed a sizeable portion of my meal. I didn’t not return my food or mention it to the member of staff serving me as I imagined she would be rather distraught and embarrassed (as she was plump herself) and I did not want to or as I say again set out cause her...
