If you’re looking at these reviews for kongs looking for a new restaurant or for a new experience, or want a truthful review of the place, do not come here, seriously. It is quite simply the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option. When I say don’t go here, I mean it. Firstly the waitress didn’t speak English, I’m no xenophobe so this only affects their business in my eyes, but she was INCREDIBLY rude, almost having a go at us for ordering 2 rice. The “buffet” is served on the worlds tiniest plates and tastes foul and you will not receive all that you ordered. The food is undercooked and inedible. They charge you £17 plus drinks for one round as we were not able to order a second round, which is robbery, and on top of all that they force you to pay a 10% service charge, which means that no matter how rude and invasive the servers were they will get a tip regardless. I came here for the first time ever for my birthday last night, I will never EVER come here again. All our conversation consisted of was how rubbish the restaurant was, how rude the servers were and me apologising for bringing them there and wasting their money on what should have been an enjoyable experience that turned into the worst experience of my life. Also being sat to a bunch of builders effing and swearing their life away was unexpected and unpleasant too. Avoid this place like the plague, seriously, I want my birthday night and our money back. What a terrible experience for mothers day me and my mother arrived first and straight away the older man came to us pushing us to order the mothers day deal 5 times in a row we said we would think about it as soon as my brother and father arrived he went away. He then came back shortly not explaining that the choices chosen by my brother and father were buffet items . So they went ahead as normal he explained that my mother's deal with me got a free round of drinks this was not clear what deal this was attached too . My drink was meant to be a double malibu coke it tasted like blackcurrant the towards like mouth wash . Me and my mum after nearly 3 hours of waiting still had no mains despite being first in the restaurant to be then told all the dishes were part of the buffet and not to be taken home so they were charging extra on top of this we decided to leave the rest of the food as was starving and it came to £95 despite no food served apart from the apparent buffet which we was not allowed to touch everyone else had food I feel this was a racial ethnicity attack based on who was at our table and how we were treated had a takeaway years ago which was lovely but it has really gone down terrible rude disorganised...

We come here often and we have also recommended friends to come here too and we also bring friends and family time to time. As on from tonight you have lost us as a local customer, I was made to pay a service charge which is supposed to be compulsory. This Chinese restaurant is not cheap, it is very expensive but the quality of food and service is sufficient enough to pay it however to pay an additional £10 service charge is an absolute joke, the waiter literally hovering around our table as I was paying and told me that I under paid and that I MUST pay the service charge despite me challenging it. Literally £70 for a meal for 2 with one diet cola each because of the service charge, it was not made clear at all that you HAVE to pay it, it's actually illegal to the point I have reported you to the defra service standard adjudicator and filled out a form with trade and standards through citizens advice. Enjoy the £10 you fiddled from me because I assure you we will not be returning and I will never recommend you again. That £10 will easily mount up to thousands in the long run.
