We had a lovely meal last night in Kouzini by Demetris in Uphill
It’s a very pretty restaurant with flowers and tables outside and indoor the decor is elegant and modern, it feels special
Comfy seating and well laid out with plenty of room between the tables. And it’s all on the level, including the pretty and spotlessly clean toilets, so good for anyone with limited mobility
They were very friendly and helpful and the service was fast and brilliant
Lots of really mixed choices on the menu, my Lamb Horiatikon was delicious and it was hard to choose between the desserts but I settled in the pistachio cheese cake which was amazing
They have vegan options for starter (mushrooms) and main (ratatouille) and vegetarian halloumi and risotto plus several vegetable side dishes We didn’t need them this time but I will take my vegan friend there soon ( no vegan dessert, though)
It’s not a cheap restaurant but it was so worth it, just right for a treat or a celebration, I think it’s my new favourite 😀
Thank you everyone at Kouzina for looking after us...
Read moreWe thought we’d try this restaurant this evening and what a disappointment. Having read good reviews, we were left wondering if we were at the same place, but we were. 6.30 on Saturday night we thought would not be overly busy. To be honest the prices are on the high side - not a problem if the quality of food matched them. We were also expecting this to be a ‘Greek’ restaurant but it isn’t and the menu on the website is not what is offered in the restaurant. Steaks, fish and not a lot else. The food was ok only, nothing out of the ordinary for sure but the service was simply dreadful. Vegetables over cooked, dry chicken and a mishmash of flavours. After our main course was finished we waited and waited to be offered dessert or coffee but it was as if we were invisible. After 40 mins we found a staff member, asked for our bill and left £127 lighter. Maybe too busy for the staff to cope? Really disappointing, mediocre food, high prices and poor...
Read moreI had a meal at La Cucina last night with friends. We could not fault the food but the waitress with the blonde hair spoiled our experience. We ordered a bottle of Merlot which she opened and allowed me to taste. I said it seemed fizzy which she insisted was because I had been eating olives. My friend who also drank the Merlot agreed it was fizzy and then we noticed tiny wood like sticks and sediment at the bottom of the bottle. On highlighting this she insisted there was nothing wrong with it and that they were simply cristals. I asked her why she offered customers the opportunity to taste the wine if all she did was dismiss out of hand their views without even tasting for herself? She said because it was her job! Well in my opinion she is doing a very poor job and absolutely nothing for customer relations! between the four of us we spent over £100 but because of her very poor attitute we will not be returning or recommending to...
