I booked this restaurant as it was No. 1 on TripAdvisor… And we love our Italian food… When we arrived, this little restaurant was full. How lovely!! What an absolutely fantastic meal we had here!! From the moment we entered the restaurant, all the staff including the chef greeted us, which is always a delight. A very nice menu with lots of pizza’s, pasta’s, risottos and lots of Italian menu items. Our server Jorge, was so very pleasant. He took our orders, made adjustments for my girls & mum-in-law, and it was served in a timely manner. The other server was very pleasant as well. The food was delicious & authentic tasting Italian food. Everything was fresh, delicious, and made with lots of love. Also, when I asked for some chillies, as I like my food spicy - they made me fresh chilli oil - a service above the ordinary… We can definitely recommend and would most definitely be coming back. My girls want to come back to Bournemouth, just so we can come back here. As Jorge told them, he will be waiting for them 😊

I'm trying to work out why this place gets such high ratings. I went out of my way to go here because it is so highly rated but was really disappointed. I'm trying to forgive the service because there was only one guy working there and it was quite busy (2 thirds full on a Tuesday evening), but even so, I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated and another 10 to get a menu. I ordered a lasagne and got layers of soggy pasta in a bowl of oil. Instead of mince beef layered in between the pasta, there was a bit of beef sprinkled on top. I couldn't eat it. Hands down, worst lasagne I've ever had. This is the kind of dish Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with. I also had a rocket salad. That was fine - fresh leaves and tomatoes - but it was missing the fresh parmasan it was supposed to be topped with. Overall, just a really poor experience for me.

I went for dinner with family and friends, for starter I had the battered prawns which was nice a d cripsy,.my main meal was seabass ,mussels, prawn with a creamy sauce served with roast potatoes and salad. I must say the portions here are large, advisable you visit hungry!I had the tiramisu which was okay, didn't take the alcohol in it, though. My kids had peperoni pizzas, which was delicious. Hubby had linguine with prawns and salmon,it was nice . The restaurant is cosy and small and we went on a weekday so it wasn't too full. Overall, the experience was nice, there was just one person taking orders and serving but it was okay as the restaurant wasnt full.

I attended Etna with high hopes due to the nature of good reviews I'd read online. This review is not related to any actions towards myself or my partner who I attended with- our service was adequate and the food was okay, nothing special- but for the elderly gentleman who walked in shortly after we had been seated. He walked in looking a little dilapidated and was ushered to a table. The attitude of the waiters was blatantly completely different towards him, very blunt and rushed. He ordered a drink and some food, the foremost of which was slammed in front of him without asking if he would like a glass etc. and the latter which was presented to him in takeaway boxes. When he asked why this was the case, the waiter was dismissive and claimed that they were fully booked- the restaurant wasn't busy- and he couldn't dine in as the table was reserved in 45 minutes time. This had never been explained to him upon his arrival, and the waiters then consistently approached him thereafter asking him to leave. I don't leave reviews but felt this behaviour was disgusting and rude. The elderly gent was calm and polite throughout, never showing any traits that would warrant this kind of treatment. It was clear that the waiters simply didn't want him there and were reluctant...

My partner and I went to etna with some family and were very disappointed. We usually go to etna quite often and always praise the service and food. However we didn’t get good service that night. We went at 7pm Tuesday and our waiter seemed quite cold. The food was delicious, however he seemed to have an issue when we asked for things. I asked for a glass of water and he snapped back instantly “I will get it when I’m not busy” in a sassy, rude tone. This made me feel like I couldn’t ask for anything else. Another member of our group ordered chips and asked for some ketchup, the waiter rolled his eyes and sighed when greeted with this request. We found this very rude, we needed boxes for our left over food and we felt nervous to even ask for anything due to him being quite rude. We didn’t catch his name however. On the back of the business card it said Alfie but I’m not sure. As someone who comes here very regularly, this was the worst service I had ever had, usually the staff is friendly and always offering items to you. This was very disappointing. However the food was 5...

We had a proper traditional restaurant experience here. Well impressed of the design of this place and the service that we received. Staff made us to feel part of them family, very attentive yet still not intrusive. It was enough room for our big family and friends and even if the booking was not done long in advance they still fit us in and the food was served quick and fresh in big portions. Sapore di mare pizza and Linguine Pescatore was the dish of the night. Well appreciate by all of us. We are going to chose this restaurant even when we prefer to have take away.As they are quick and efficient (this is the way we found out about this restaurant) so especially when we are hungry and in a hurry, is very helpful. It was best choice especially because we wanted to experience new type of food but not to risk too much and to remain hungry. The prices are very affordable . The ambiance of the restaurant is very impressive .They have no parking but it didn’t matter as we found on the near street and everything...
