Really poor experience sadly. Went out for a birthday meal and service overall was really slow, food mediocre (half the party described it as tasteless). 2nd round of drinks arrived so late dinner almost completed. Trying to pay the bill took an age. The reason for writing this review is because of the way I was treated when I tried to give feedback. I was told I was wrong, I was told it was because I hadn’t pre-ordered (hadn’t been asked to),I was told the drinks were delayed because I had asked for condiments. There was a hint of an apology hidden in a tirade that they had done their best and that I was wrong. They did however serve my grandson a side dish quickly. I would not recommend.

I note the response to my review. There was one extra person that joined us, not two and I asked immediately on arrival if they could be accommodated and was told that they could. Not enough seats were provided and the couple sat next to us kindly offered to move. We then moved the furniture ourselves and no staff were around for this. We did not ask the couple to move, they graciously made the decision themselves. It is usual practice for salt and pepper to be on the table and for the waiting staff to ask if anything else is required. This did not happen. I had to wave for the waiter and when he came I asked for pepper and chilli oil. He did not ask if anything else was required. My mother called after him asking for salt which he did not hear so he was asked to provide this when he came back and my sister asked for vinegar. I did ask for the condiments to be provided before the cokes were distributed so we could try and eat our food whilst warm, there was no sign of the wine at this point. I stated in my feedback that my pizza was luke warm. A glass was unfortunately broken and cleared up promptly but we had long finished eating by then. Definitely wasn’t expecting a MacDonalds meal, but we weren’t paying MacDonalds’...

La Famiglia in Bristol is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine! From the moment I walked in, the warm, family-style atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, which only adds to the overall experience.

I started my meal with their famous La Famiglia pasta, and it was incredible! The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The dish had a comforting, homemade feel, yet the flavors were elevated and sophisticated—absolutely spot on!

And then... the cheesecake. Oh my goodness. I’m still dreaming about it. This was, without a doubt, the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness with a perfectly buttery crust. It was indulgent without being too heavy, and the portion size was just right to satisfy your sweet tooth without going overboard.

Overall, La Famiglia Bristol delivered on every front—amazing food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're craving classic Italian dishes or just looking for an incredible dessert, this place is an absolute winner. Highly, highly recommend! I can’t...

La Famiglia Italian Restaurant - A Pleasant Family Dining Experience

I recently visited La Famiglia Italian Restaurant and had an overall pleasant experience, though there were a few areas that could be improved.

To start, we ordered garlic bread and bruschetta, which were absolutely fantastic! The garlic bread was perfectly crispy, and the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful—definitely a highlight of the meal. However, the main course, a classic lasagne, was a bit of a letdown. It took quite a long time to arrive from the kitchen, and when it did, it was just okay—not bad, but nothing particularly memorable.

What stood out most, though, was the service. The two youngsters running the front of house were brilliant—friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It was refreshing to see such great service, especially from such a young team.

Overall, La Famiglia is a nice spot for a family meal. While it might not be the best Italian restaurant I've been to, it's still a solid choice for a relaxed evening out. With a bit of work on the timing and consistency of the main dishes, it could easily become a go-to...

Our first visit to this Italian, my wife fancied some seafood and she was not disappointed... I went for the Veal, it was nice but yet again I ended up with food envy. Being mid January it was very quiet, literally just one other table in use. Staff were excellent, it's a family run business and they genuinely care, very friendly, very helpful with your choice and food was timely and excellent quality. Decor is really nice. Cost is reasonable and we'll certainly be visiting again soon.

The food was very disappointing. Calamari was rubbery and inedible, Mozzarella Caroza was not good quality, the Pizza Compagna was soggy and plastered in parmesan and uncooked mozzarella and the Linguine Sorrentina had a dead prawn’s head for ‘decoration’ and did not taste as nice as Aldi’s version. Service was okay and waiter removed a starter and main from the bill. Would not recommend.
