La Glacier Blackburn — Restaurant in England

Recently visited La Glacier for a milkshake, usually a straight forward process. However, the employee was faffing around with the card reader for over 5 minutes, implying they prefer cash over card. Perhaps some may argue that such an establishment is engaged in tax evasion. Could you clarify this position?

As time went on, the employee would immediately answer the phone whenever it rang. For example, we were choosing which flavour of milkshake to go with, I observed the employee scooping some ice cream for another customer and instantly dropped what he was doing to answer the phone. Twice he did this.

When our turned arrived, he address us and before we could respond, yet again answered the phone instead. We decided to leave and go elsewhere due to this extremely poor level of service.

In this past, the owner used to maintain his presence, resulting in a more efficient and tightly run ship. Without him, the overall organisation of this establishment...

After a great discussion, the family finally decided it was time to give La Glacier a go one recent Saturday night. We got there and the place was very busy, barely any room to walk. One very nice worker spotted us in the big waiting group and helped to seat the family. After another long discussion we placed our order and sat patiently waiting, the food came in a considerable good time taking into consideration how busy it was and also how much we had ordered. I personally had eaten from here previously but only the odd dessert, but to my surprise the few other things that never tickled my fancy were absolutely amazing! Loved the food. Only downside was a bit of a waiting time but i guess for quality it takes time and patience is a virtue after all, also we had ordered alot so taking all in all into consideration i would definitely go...

Visited La Glacier today for the first time after their renovation and I have to say at a first glance I was extremely impressed.. Placing an order was extremely easy there were no queues because the man at the till was extremely efficient the staff were taking care of the orders very well and despite alot of people coming in and out and the fact that its a Saturday night it wasn't crowded at all.. ordered desserts for take out another first for me... and I was very impressed they were absolutely delicious.. The milkshakes are cheap and very nicely made compared to other dessert parlours.. Just wish they would offer a delivery service like they used to before... All in all I was very happy with my visit! And I will definitely 100% recommend it...
