We drove an hour to reach this HMC-certified halal Lahori restaurant. The food was excellent (10/10). We ordered two of their large tawas and a few other items. Everyone (without exception) enjoyed all the food. However, the restaurant lacked any decor. The toilet didn't have a functioning light. Some of us (adults and children) needed to visit the toilet. We had to use our mobile phone lights. We were told that the lights were out of order due to a flooding. Also, there was no extractor fan in the toilet. When we got there, it was smelly (the worst experience you can have in a restaurant, before a meal). We checked before booking that they had prayer space, as we would be there during 'asr and maghrib times. We were shown the small rooms (bedrooms of what must've been the original terraced house) upstairs. They were being used for storage. We had to lay our picnic mat and a travel prayer mat (both of which we luckily had in our cars). When it came to paying, they only accepted cash. The service was good. The food was the best, but they ought to focus on improving the other things mentioned above. An overall 4/5.

So went with the family for a meal this evening. The water bottle came to the table and upon opening the lid was full of mold . I complained to the waitress and she replaced it with a jug of water. Ordered wings and 2 curries. 1 curry was very good the other curry was a chicken tikka curry . This was very hard and rubbery. After 2 bites I told the waitresse to take it back. The chef/owner came out to see what the problem was. He was adamant the chicken was fine. Which I said it was not he then made the comment we over ordered and that's why we return the dish. I told him to bring another dish and I would finish it. He did not return we quickly ate our food and left the owner did not apologise for the service or his comment. We won't be returning. Even if I had over ordered if the dish was fine I would have had it packed and took it home for lunch the next day. Shocking behaviour. It makes sense why the place was so empty 😕... see pic for the picture of the lid. Nasty

Sorry to say it’s a rip off at this place they only cook Nan bread, chapatti and fried items, rest of the items are precooked and frozen seekh kebabs then served reheating in a microwave; hence the taste is so unpleasant. They should remove the word grill from their signboard as they do not grill anything at all which can be viewed from the open kitchen, even the lamb chops were microwaved. Sadly what a shame to say that I have visited there. Definitely would advise to avoid and if eating ask them to serve some fresh descent eatable food. I wish the authorities would one day intervene to make it mandatory upon these types of restaurants to mention on menu that they are serving reheated frozen food. Finally go in with cash in pocket as they do not accept card payments.

From the moment I walked into Lahori Tawa and Grill, I was greeted with warmth, smiles, and an inviting aroma that instantly set the tone for an amazing dining experience. The ambience is a perfect balance of comfort and elegance – vibrant décor, spacious seating, and a clean, welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home.

The staff here truly go above and beyond. They are attentive without being intrusive, always ready to recommend dishes, refill drinks, and ensure everything is just right. Their friendliness makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Now, let’s talk about the food – absolutely phenomenal! The flavours are authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced, bringing a real taste of Lahore to the table. The tawa dishes are bursting with spices and cooked to perfection, the grilled meats are tender, juicy, and full of smoky flavour, and the naan bread is fresh and fluffy – perfect for scooping up every last bit of the delicious curry.

Portions are generous, so you get fantastic value for money. Whether you’re going for the aromatic biryani, sizzling mixed grill, or their mouth-watering kebabs, every dish is made with care and attention to detail. Even the sides and chutneys are full of flavour.

What I really appreciate is the consistency – every visit has been top-notch, both in service and taste. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard every single time.

Overall, Lahori Tawa and Grill is more than just a restaurant – it’s an experience. It’s where amazing food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere come together perfectly. Whether you’re dining with family, friends, or even alone, you’ll leave with a happy heart and a satisfied stomach.

Highly recommended – I’ll definitely be coming back...

It was so disappointing experience today,Me and my family decided to have a good time together and go for dinner after so long time,When arrived at restaurant receptionist told that we will have to wait as table for 4 members is not available so we decided to wait, then one of the lady from staff she set table for us just joint to another family which we were not comfortable to sit with them as we were having children’s with us and everyone is having their own privacy, We asked staff lady that if we can sit inside and have a dinner,Lady asked us to wait for 5-10 minutes as she was cleaning the table, she also spoke to the reception lady after that staff lady cleaned the table and we asked again if we can sit now lady told that we can sit so me and my family went inside and sit for dinner, receptionist came and she just asked us to get up from the table which we were sat on and she told that this not for you as it is reserved table for big family, and told us to go out side to sit on table which she has sat next to other family. I was so disappointed and felt insulted in front of all other families, so I told my husband to leave and go from there without having dinner,my husband just told lady that thanks, then she started arguing with my husband and she was shouting and told that he was being rude towards her,but my husband was not being rude. It was so bad experience and my all excitement was ruined. They don’t know how to give a good...

Booked a table for 20 for a family birthday celebration which was no issue over the phone. Only to arrive on the day and half my family were seated seperately, if I was told it couldn’t accommodate us prior I would have chosen elsewhere to go. Staff were rude when this was brought up but we stayed to see if the food was redeem itself… it didn’t. Food was mediocre. A children’s order was made incorrectly, which was sent back. The two members of staff were extremely rude about it being sent back saying it’s just chilli sauce and mint on it so just basically eat it! Which we refused as the CHILD does not have chilli sauce. She then stormed off, whispering to the other member of staff. They were both just rude throughout our whole dining. No one came to check if we were ok, and we were waiting a very long time for anyone to clear our table & give us a bill. The tawas we ordered had to be put onto the table by my family instead of the waitresses as she had almost dropped them on my family member’s. To top it off they had added extras onto the bill, insisting we had extra drinks rather than listening to our word. Also note: popadoms are £2.50 (2 in a portion, includes chutney tray) although if you order 4 (2 portions) they will try to get away with giving you just one tray! Avoid if you want decent...
