Maher's Tawa, Grill and Karahi — Restaurant in England

I had a very disappointing experience today when I went to the restaurant with my wife and two kids. We were seated at table 1, but as soon as I sat down, I realized that the place was extremely hot and humid, making it difficult for me to breathe. The restaurant was overcrowded, with people standing next to me and no airflow. It felt like sitting in an oven. I had to ask the waiter for a menu because no one offered it to me. After waiting for 15 minutes, my food arrived, but my strawberry mocktail was missing. I asked one of the waiters to bring a fan or turn on the air conditioning, but they ignored my request. The heat made it hard for me to enjoy the food, so I asked them to pack it for me. It took them another 10 minutes to bring the packaged food. They didn't ask if everything was okay, but I overheard them asking other customers about their meals, which made me feel discriminated against. They also brought the cocktail when it was no longer useful. When I went to pay the bill, they served someone else in front of me and didn't ask about my experience. This was my first visit, and I will never return. I consider this place a health hazard and advise others...

Visited MEHER’s when we were roaming around the streets of Derby in a beautiful evening which was the best choice of that day.

The restaurant was attracting a trendy crowd, easily accessible from the road, visible from the streets.

There were many seats available when we arrived there. The staff were so welcoming. Nithi one of the staff from MEHER’s was so charming and kind to help us to choose the menu. She explained politely our enquiries on the menu.

We have ordered MIXED GRILL which I can suggest the BEST in there. We have seen some of the previous customer’s reviews in Google as well. That helped us to go for that one which was so delicious.

And, we have ordered Lamb Biriyani. That’s also beautifully cooked and offered with Salads & Pickles.

We had booked the family room as we have a 22 family members and it gets difficult finding places to accommodate us, so the private room was amazing for us to catch up be comfortable and enjoy the amazing food. Considering we had a pretty large order, the staff was amazing and attentive and everything came out tonus piping hot. We had mix grills for starters, everything was cooked to perfection, chicken tikka, lamb chops were so tasty and something I would recommend. For mains we had a number of curry's consisting of Lamb,chicken, Daal, Maags, they was absolutely amazing. Spice levels, the taste I can't recommend enough! Hot naans/Rotis coming out whenever we needed a top up. To finish the feast we had sweet dish Kheer, which was beautifully presented and just the right amount of sweetness and of course Karak chai is a must!
