Oodles Wok Derby — Restaurant in England

Ordered two medium boxes and after 1 hour or so waiting for delivery (which I must stress wasn’t the problem) the order turns up incorrect (missing a whole ingredient!). I rang Oodles and spoke to a young lady who apologised but in the first instance after speaking to her manager said they’d be unable to send another box out as they’re short on drivers and so I’d have to come collect…this is after I’ve already paid £3.79 for delivery plus £2 odd for “service”. Well the service was far from in existence! I was then told by the same lady that they’ll arrange another box for me but I’ll have to wait for delivery, as such, I requested a refund instead and was told this isn’t possible but the next time I order, I can have a free box. The next time I order….I don’t think that will be happening any time soon! It went from bad to worse after speaking to the manager who asked me where I ordered through. After advising it was Uber Eats, I was told to pursue Uber Eats for a refund…I didn’t realise they kept all the monies from the sale?! Essentially the manager refused to take ownership and also refused to send another box out as well because they’re unable to deal with issues from orders relating to Uber eats, completely not understanding that the issue was that they made the order wrong!

Bottom line, it’s a shambles at best. Your order almost certainly turns up late more often than not, and luke warm. Should your order end up being wrong, don’t waste your time pursuing it, the business just doesn’t care for your custom. I’ve given this place the benefit of the doubt before but will not be making that mistake again. And just be careful when taking your food out of the bag as you’ll often find the box covered in grease. Expensive, rude, lack customer service, tight on portion and very unhygienic. I could go on. I doubt this place will remain open for long as they seem to be very quiet lately. I'd give them a zero if I could.

When this place first opened. I found a metal nail in my food. I complained to the guy who served me. He looked at me and said. "Okay!", I didn't hear an apology, or a gesture of Goodwill by offering me compensation. I thought nothing of this. I could've reported them to trading standards, but thought. They are new and have just opened.

When you call to place an order they choose to only make the food when you get there. What's the point of placing the order over the phone.

After being a regular customer at this place for almost a year, spending £50 per week. I called in once and asked the person to make the food for a particular time, as I'm not going to wait around. He reassured me that I will not be waiting and that if I come at the time he specified the food will be ready.

So, I thought I'd give an extra ten minutes. Before I leave work and head down to collect the food. Surprisingly, I arrive there and the chap behind the counter tells me. Oh, we are just about to start and it will take a further twenty minutes. At this point, I told them to not prepare the food, and I went elsewhere.

The next time I called them to place an order, they told me I had been Barred. With no clear reason why.

Came into and asked the guy for chicken only had I'm on a keto dieting and avoiding carbs, he claims he couldn't do it, I said you can put less in if you like but I don't want rice or noodles.

I also said to me last time they did it for me and lesicter always do it, when I said that he was like oh we can.

The dirty scum low life tramp, than put sauce sweet and sour with no chicken like 1 peice and I heard him say to his colleague in punjab sirf sauce pah, than he layers it with rice to keep it separate and put like 10 peices of crispy chicken.

This is how scumy and trampy these places are, you pay several pounds to get 11 peices of chicken.

Made me sick. Wanted to go back in and absolutely verbally abuse the guy.

Last week I went in they missed this chicken out and when I went in that looked at me funny didn't even offer yo make it again just put some chicken on which was missing.

This week the dirty tramps robbed me. They say it's halal for muslims yet I don't see any muslims workers in there.

Don't have problem with that however you got all these freshies from Indian speaking punjabii some cant even talk English serving halal food to a majority Muslim area, which really makes sense.

Won't be ever going back in here again.
