Maples Coffee Shop — Restaurant in England

The coffee at the Maples is some of the best around - we’ve been visiting ever since it opened in 2019 and have come to love our local coffee shop, which it’s a real treat to have. The toasted sandwiches are delicious (try the mozzarella and chilli jam one - it’s so so good!) and my sons love the kids’ sandwiches too. We always have to have a homemade baked treat (my favourite are Jon’s gingerbread and white chocolate cookies). The atmosphere is lovely, so friendly and welcoming, and always a real buzz in there. My husband is highly symptomatic celiac, and the Gluten Free toastie was both safe and absolutely delicious. Our daughter is also dairy free and was able to find great options too. It’s such a relief to find a place that takes dietary needs seriously without compromising on taste. The rest of the meal was excellent, and the tea was perfectly brewed.

Lovely coffee and cake. Only reason I rated it 3 stars was because every time I have been the service could certainly have been a little faster :) the person on tills should process the order and the person making coffees can make the orders, for it to run more efficiently. Whenever I have visited, the person serving me on the tills would take my order and then go and make me a coffee rather than give the order to someone behind the bar and process the transaction.
