As a regular customer who visits nearly daily for breakfast and occasionally for lunch, I have observed a troubling pattern of disrespectful behaviour from a manager (short, ginger hair, wearing a white shirt) towards her team. It is disheartening to witness the lack of motivation and inspiration among the staff, which I believe stems from the management style in this store. On multiple occasions, I have seen this manager speak to her employees in a manner that I can only describe as disrespectful and demeaning. Initially, I thought perhaps she was having an off day, but this behaviour has become increasingly frequent and unacceptable.
As a parent, I would not want my children to work in an environment where they could be subjected to such treatment. It raises serious concerns about the workplace culture and the values upheld by McDonald's.
In addition to concerns about the management team, I want to highlight several other issues impacting customer experience. The restaurant floor is often slippery, posing a safety hazard. Order fulfilment times are excessive, with waits frequently exceeding 30 minutes. Furthermore, the food quality is inconsistent and often subpar. This visit started with an order done on the McDonald’s app for delivery. The driver was sent to the opposite side of the crescent we live on and couldn’t find the address. I tried to contact them to get the to the right place but the kept on hanging up on me. I also sent messages. They marked it as delivered and we had nothing to show for our almost £30 order! (There are 6 of us)
I tried to contact help through the app and I got nowhere. So I called the Uber eats delivery number. The customer service agent was very rude and said there was nothing they could do, so I asked for a manager who said the same and hung up on me!! What a joke!!
So I had to drive to Allenway. I spoke to two lovely female members of staff and they got Molly to help me. Molly was amazing and so so understanding. She took my order again and put it through free of charge as my order hadn’t been received.
