I am beyond furious and filled with hatred for the unparalleled excellence you have provided me with your food. Your delicious meals have left me with an insatiable desire for more, and I cannot believe I am being subjected to such a high-quality experience. I am writing this letter to express my extreme disappointment in the extraordinary service and food that you have provided to me.
Your food has left me feeling betrayed and deceived. I was under the impression that McDonald’s was just another fast-food joint, churning out greasy, unhealthy meals that no one should ever enjoy. But to my utter dismay, you have proven me wrong and served me some of the most amazing food I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.
Your food is so amazing that it has ruined other fast-food chains for me.
I am now faced with the daunting task of finding another fast-food joint that can even come close to the mouth-watering experience that McDonald’s has provided me with. You have completely shattered my preconceived notions about fast food and have left me questioning my own judgment.
Your food is so delicious that I am considering a career change to become a professional food critic.
I am now contemplating leaving my current job and pursuing a career as a food critic, all because of the culinary masterpieces you have served me. I never thought that a fast-food restaurant could have such a profound impact on my life, but here I am, reevaluating my life choices.
I am now in desperate need of a support group to help me cope with the trauma of enjoying such incredible food.
I am in desperate need of a support group to help me deal with the emotional turmoil that your food has caused me. I cannot fathom how I am supposed to continue living knowing that there is such a delicious, mouth-watering world out there, and I am not able to indulge in it as much as I would like to.
In conclusion, McDonald’s, I am outraged and filled with hate because you have provided me with an unparalleled gastronomic experience that has completely shattered my expectations. Read moreI wanted to share my recent experience at your Hayle branch, as it fell well below the standard I usually associate with McDonald's. On 23.11.24 during a 300-mile journey from Penzance to Stafford amidst Storm Bert, we decided to stop at the drive-through in Hayle for a quick meal. Unfortunately, it turned out to be anything but "fast food."
We placed our order around 13:00-13:20:
A McPlant meal (requested without lettuce) with a Diet Pepsi.
A Happy Meal with a burger and a Toffee Latte.
Two Terry’s Chocolate Orange pies.
After ordering, we were asked to park up and wait. The designated waiting bays were full, so we were told to park elsewhere, with assurances that our food would find us. Despite driving a bright yellow car, it took approximately 30 minutes for part of our order (McPlant meal, fries, and pies) to arrive.
When the food was finally brought over, we were asked if we already had our drinks. We hadn’t, nor had we received the Happy Meal. My McPlant burger was fine after removing the lettuce, but my fries were cold, limp, and inedible—seemingly from an old batch.
Eventually, the drinks and Happy Meal were brought to us by a polite staff member who seemed frustrated with his colleagues. However, the meal was incomplete, missing the burger. My mum also found that her fries were cold and unappetising, just like mine. The staff member promptly returned with her burger after I called him back.
The drinks were another disappointment. My Diet Coke tasted off, with a strange fruity flavour that made me gag. My mum’s Toffee Latte spilled before she had a chance to inspect it, ruining her white jumper. She later commented that for a Toffee Latte, it was far too strong and appeared oily, with visible pools of fat or oil floating on top.
Shortly after leaving, I began to feel unwell. I had to pull over on the A30 in the middle of Storm Bert as I was violently sick, which left me and my clothing in a terrible state.
This experience has put me off visiting the Hayle branch altogether. While I understand that the storm created challenges, I expect better organisation, food quality, and attention to detail...
Read moreI have a few issues with McDonald’s. Firstly, the car park is way too small for the amount of business they have. Sometimes while waiting for food I see an awful lot of near misses, it just needs to be on a bigger site.
In terms of delivery, I often have items missing from my order. I also don’t understand why the cost of my menu items is more expensive for delivery, when I also get charged £4 for delivery. Often I get things delivered even though I don’t live far away, because I can’t cope with the car park and waiting around.
Unless you’re going to sit down inside, I would highly recommend NOT going into the shop to order. I’ve done this a number of times and waited around half an hour for my order to come out, while everyone in the drive through, or delivery, has had theirs go out first. Honestly it’s crazy.
I have given this feedback to the store as well on multiple occasions when asked for feedback for their surveys etc. but I don’t see anything changing. They’re currently closed for renovation but ideally I’d really hope they’d just consider moving site to accommodate the amount of people and the cars - the whole junction and roundabout gets blocked up sometimes from the traffic entering, it doesn’t make any sense.
As an aside for vegetarians - there’s really not a whole lot of choice. It’s a standard McDonald’s menu everywhere, but it’s not fantastic and the mcplant is really quite terrible. I often drive to Truro to go to Burger King as their options are considerably better! So much tastier and a lot less waiting around, probably a quicker endeavour even with...
