Worst McDonalds ever. Excruciatingly slow service and rude staff. This is a copy of the letter I have sent to the manager and CEO today.

I’d like to rely my experience at McDonalds Oakfield Truck Park today. I use McDonalds about once a fortnight, but it was the first time I’d visited this one.

I arrived at the Drive Thru circa 1.55. There was a 5 minute wait to take my order, followed by a further 5 minutes wait to pay. I only ordered a Big Mac and large fries. No drink, no extras.

There are 2 collection windows, and as I’d seen someone in front of me get their order from the second window, I drove forward when it was my turn and waited. After a further 5 minute wait, I asked a member of staff taking an order to a car where my order was. She said she didn’t know because she wasn’t working on Drive Thru.

After the three cars behind me collected their orders from the first window and drove around me, I got out of the car, stuck my head in the window of the first collection point and shouted “Excuse me” 3 times. Eventually a girl appeared (young, slim, dark hair tied back, long thin face, sullen expression) and I asked her where my order was and she said “I thought you’d driven off”. I said, no, I’d been waiting patiently at the window to collect my order.

She picked up my bag and handed it to me, and I said calmly, this is the worst McDonalds I’ve ever used, to which she shouted “then don’t come back again” and stuck 2 fingers up at me.

Had I not already been late for my next appointment due to the excessive wait, I’d have gone in and reported her to the manager there and then.

I’m sure you’ll be able to identify her from the description, and working the Drive Thru shift lunchtime 17th October, and I’d expect you to take appropriate action.

She was right about one thing – I won’t be going there again. Appallingly slow service and unnecessarily rude – and of course my food was cold from sitting...

Unfortunately my visit yesterday has to be deemed as my worst ever experience with what I have always classed as a good Company with a great product.

Upon entering establishment, there were two ther people eating. We chose our food and opted to sit in receipt said 1524.. After noticing that all the tables were soiled, we chose the best we could, so it we cleaned and wiped it so we could sit. At 15 42 I went to the counter and stood behind a gentleman for a further 6 mins before he was served.. his cup of coffee duly arrived, the Staff member that served him then looked at me and walked off, not to be seen again m there also were 3 people behind me by then At 1605 I was beginning to a little hacked off to be honest. I did manage to ask someone walking about if our food was ready? At 1613 our food arrived but had to be returned as the burgers were stone cold.. and the removal of that horrible green sliced gherkin or what ever it is was sat there pearing at me .. I just don't like those so I request they not in it. Whilst all this was / wasn't going on. There were two white shirt employees maybe shift supervisors or whatever who had now been in and out the door on numerous occassions outside talking to their mate in the carpark. Actually spent more time outside than in, and that was over the course of an hour.

Eventually received our meals 58 minutes after it was ordered.. This for me is not fast food. The customer service here was appalling to say yhe least. There was obviously no clear direction..encouragement or anything else for that matter to suggest there was anyone that actually cared about getting the job done and providing the service they are actually paid to provide.. As it stands this is the worst McD's I have ever been in.. Hope they can get someone in to sort the place out.. only thing I may get from there now...

I come to this branch from time to time purely for convenience as I live locally. I am yet to have a positive experience due to disgusting levels of cleanliness, ridiculously long waits, poorly prepared food etc. I walked in this morning and there was no exception! 4 of the tables were covered in food and used trays etc with one other person in the restaurant. There is ketchup smeared on the tables and floor and my daughter put her hand straight in a puddle of ketchup on another table. Never seems to be any staff, never seems to be organised and always appears to be filthy. After another lengthy wait, I went to the front and waited for someone to come into view to ask for a Refund. The young lad was very pleasant and when I explained that the place is disgusting and service slow he explained “we’re aware and something is being done about it” - I’ve only ever known this place be disgusting so seriously doubt that this is the case. I didn’t get the refund as the food was just about ready when I asked and credit to them, the food was fresh and nice but when the front of house is so disgusting, I have to wonder how good their cleaning practices are behind the scenes! We were there for around half an hour and still nobody came out to clear tables or clean the floor. There is one in Knaresborough which is far better and also one in Northallerton which has the same owners but seems to be ran better. I would avoid this place...
