Went into this McDonald's drive through early on Saturday morning (18/05/2024) and ordered two sausage and egg Mc muffins and a soft drink and then pulled up across the road to eats them. The first Mc muffin had egg shell in it, the biggest piece was about the size of a twenty pence piece and the second one also had egg shell in it but this time the biggest piece was about the size of a fifty pence coin. To make matter worse the second one also had some grit in it which i thought a first was one of my fillings that had come out. So now the price at Mc Donalds are sky high and the quality in gutter low!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID.

This is a email I send to McDonald's today (12/07/2024) after another go at getting decent food and service from McDonald's on Anthony Way Strood.
Dear Sir or Madam. I have just returned from a day trick to Kent to see my elderly mother and while I was in Kent I dropped into your restaurant on Anthony's Way Strood for some breakfast. The first thing I noticed was the huge amount of flies around the serving/order area. I counted at least fifteen while waiting for my order to arrive. Secondly when my takeaway order arrived (which we chose to eat across the road in our car) the porridge I ordered was still frozen and the hash browns were missing from both orders. This is the second time in two months that my/our order has arrived with something wrong. The last time I ordered two sausage and egg McMuffin from the drive through and they both had large pieces of eggshell in them and one had a large piece of black grit in it too. At first I thought I had lost a tooth filling but it was a piece of black grit. Read moreAbsolutely disgusting behavour 10.53pm, I get told to park up as they cooking the chicken nuggets but they gave me my drinks, by 11.15pm no sight of a person or the food, so I go in to see whats happening. After talking to 2 bewildered members of staff they went to the manager whom also had no clue about my order 🤔 I had to tell them my order, the manager grabbed most of it and I had to repeat myself several times before he put it into a bag. I watched him place the chicken nuggets box and the burgers into the bag, so no need to double check you would think! After having my order chucked, yes chucked onto the side the manager just walked off without a word So I could not even bother trying to sort my drinks out as that would mean shouting across to the arrogant manager... embarrassing much So I left and just to top the absolute disgraceful service i had received, I got home to see he had only gone and gave us 20 spicy chicken nuggets! Out of the 4 times he made me repeat my order, how on earth did he get 20 Spice chicken nuggets from me saying 20 Chicken nuggets? Like seriously man, how are you a manager? 'Freshly made to your order' Well that is a joke aye! So bloody rude and certainly an annoying end...
Read moreVery poor welcome, actually no welcome at all, no one spoke to us or even looked at us. It was almost like it would have been better to have artificial intelligence and robots there rather than staff. The food took so long and still not one member of staff updated us. Its supposed to be a fast food restaurant and we waited about 11 minutes 34 seconds, it felt like forever, we should have got our burgers in at least 2.5 minutes Max as my husband is an ex McDonald's employee he has never experienced this lack of customer service as a paying customer. A bit of common courtesy and hot food would have been suffice. Then when we did receive the two cheese burgers that took that long to make, were cold, and looked like they came out the bin. (see pictures). All the staff there look like they don't want to be there. I told my husband that we should go in as the queue was so long at the drive thru, I felt as if I should have just waited at the drive thru as it would have taken just as long, but at least we would have been greeted 'welcome to McDonald's, can I take your order' unless they were as miserable as the staff inside the restaurant.
