We visited on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. We ended up here after an abortive breakfast at Caulty and then again at the closed Stone Close Tea Room in Dent. Looking at the menu, it seemed a bit pricey and non-standard for a cafe. The offerings in the fridge were not inspiring, so we selected the fancy sausage roll. I asked for them to be heated, and when delivered, they were only partially heated, with cold parts and a poor-quality taste. We were offering chips randomly but when delivered it seemed they had been pre-cooked and flash-fried as well as pre-salted bizarrely. These were very dark and greasy. If the Stone Close Tea room is closed next visit I suggest you go hungry or try the cafe in the Museum rather than visit here.

Seeking shelter from a chill, but sunny day, we chanced upon the Meadowside Cafe. What a find. Thinking we would only drop in for coffee, we saw the menu and stayed for lunch. The extensive menu, full of delights, served to provide us with a three cheese melted sandwich on toasted sourdough, and I had a fantastic surf and turf burger with really crisp fries and very generous shrimps. We topped off the lot with a serious flat white and a delicious hot chocolate. Zoey the dog even got a fab biscuit, from the welcoming, knowledgeable and dog friendly staff team. In Dent? This is the place to be...

Lovely little Bistro which we visited whilst staying in Dent and what a wonderful place it is with fantastic food and great attentive service. The menu was the Bindian menu and I chose the Indian fish & chips whilst my husband had the bad boy lamb burger and what a great choice we made as it was amazing. We also had room for desserts too which were also delicious. If you get the chance to visit this quaint little village give Meadowside Bistro a try as you won’t be disappointed. We will certainly be visiting again when we return back to Dent.

Last summer, I had the privilege to visit some friends in the UK and they live nearby the village of Dent. My friends brought me to Meadowside cafe and meeting Adrian and his wife Jackie was amazing. Such welcoming, kind and warm people. The restaurant is modern inside yet offers an incredibly cozy atmosphere. Adrian is a genius! He brought me on a culinary journey through the history of British food, in the form of tapas, mixing tradition and innovation. It was LIFE CHANGING. One of the most incredible meals I've ever had in 31 years of life. If you're ever in the northern part of England, you must find the time to go try Meadowside...
