I stayed here with a friend Friday-Sunday, and really enjoyed our stay! All the staff were so kind and humble - as soon as we came in, we were offered a beer and showed to our rooms. We had a twin bedroom and the beds were so comfy! There were plenty of towels, pillows and blankets provided, with a TV, tea and coffee facilities, sink and storage space. The view was also so cute! We weren't able to have breakfast the first morning, due to having to leave early, but we were offered a packed lunch in place of this. We did manage to have breakfast the following morning, with a selection of cereals, toast, eggs and a full English (veggie option available) - very nice! Wanted to try their lunch and evenibg menu, as the specials sounded great! Also managed to use the shower - best shower ever after climbing those mountains! Would definitely come back, highly...
Read moreWe stopped in Dent and wanted to eat before returning home. We are a family of 4 adults and all had amazing meals. The staff we just so friendly and helpful. The lamb was tender and well portioned, the veggie wellington perfectly met the needs of our vegetarian family member and the fish and chips were lovely. We had deserts and they were so delicious that we left our plates clean. The pub itself was quaint and had a real buzz about it. We couldn’t have asked for better staff, service or food. As guests we were made to feel welcome and they couldn’t do enough to make sure our needs were met. We will definitely visit the Sun Inn again....

The beer was good, clearly well kept but the same can't be said for the food. £11.95 for a miserable pre-battered frozen supermarket cod is frankly embarrassing. The scampi was OK as were the frozen chips but overall it was over priced for freezer food. I used to come to the Sun Inn loads in the 80s and 90s and what a shame it's no longer the cracking pub it was then. Having eaten at the George and Dragon recently it's definitely the...
