The food here is absolutely amazing since it has changed hands it’s even better than it used to be and I was never disappointed before. I would highly recommend this restaurant because the food is grate quality. the service is at high Standard atmosphere is great especially the guy at the front house he is amazing with customers always has a smile on his face dressed very smartly always try’s his best The place is immaculate. Memories of India has always been my go-to restaurant, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. I ordered food for takeout over the phone and forgot to ask for the total. I added up the cost of my order using the menu, but when I went to collect it, I was charged nearly £8 more than I expected. There was no explanation for the price difference, which was frustrating.

Additionally, the food quality has gone downhill recently. The flavors and care that used to make this place stand out just aren’t there anymore. I’ve always trusted Memories of India for great food and service, but both have let me down lately. A good reliable take out and restaurant that has been established in Chester le Street for something like 20-30 years.

Friday night treat was needed and we chose to order take out from here with the restaurant being closed. A tandoori mixed grill, two nan and a chicken tikka bhuna were the dishes.

The food was al nice but we were left a bit underwhelmed, particularly by the curry. The children enjoyed some grilled chicken and bread too.
