I came here for the first time on Sunday the 24th with my daughter for lunch. We used to come here all the time when it was Salt Cellar and just hadn't got round to coming since. At first I was a bit wary as the prices are more than we usually spend but I also wanted to try it out. I have to say I was NOT disappointed, yes it is more expensive than the previous establishment, however the quality has increased massively also. Starting with the decorations, it looks wonderful inside very warm a welcoming with enough tables and evenly spread so your not on top of each other. There's also a larger table as you come in (which I forgot to take a photo of) that has it's own little area which is nice. The lightening and everything all comes together really well. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Again it costs a little more, but the quality is well worth it and you get very large portions too. In Sundays they have a 3 course set menu for just under £35 each (you still have quite a large choice of food, it's just not everything that's on the a la Carte menu but it works out cheaper) luckily my daughter and I had looked at the menu online and everything we wanted to have was on that - which was Champo! My daughter had a sirloin steak and I had a rump steak, both medium rare and both cooked to perfection, for starters we shared the baked Camembert. It was all delicious 😋🤤. The Service was absolutely brilliant,we were greeted quickly and friendly at the door and seated in a booth seat. Our table service was done by Millie and she was fantastic, very friendly and very helpful (especially when she realised we hadn't been before). The chefs do a sterling as the food came out fast and hot and as I said cooked to perfection. Miller and carter have an app, which I downloaded and on your first visit you get a free glass of fizz (I was driving so my daughter had it). There's also a loyalty program which I haven't really looked into but at a glance it seemed good (I believe you can even get gift vouchers on it) Overall a fantastic lunch in a lovely establishment. We definitely will come again as the food, service and everything was excellent. Once again hats off to the chefs and Millie.

We had a fabulous meal at Miller & Carter Middlewich, which is a brand new Miller & Carter restaurant. It was previously a Harvester which we had been to many times over the years - the transformation is fantastic, with lovely fittings & fixtures. Our waiter was Kristzian (sorry about the spelling) & he was polite, attentive & had a great sense of humour. We went at lunchtime & ordered 2 courses from the set menu to save some money, but we shared a bread board from the main menu to begin with which came with beef dripping butter & and olive oil/balsamic vinegar dip - so tasty! We both had rump steak with seasoned fries & additional peppercorn sauce which was all delicious - the steak was superb! We then finished with the mini dessert (Banoffee Pie - If you know, you know!) & a coffee which was just enough to round the meal off. The whole experience was totally brilliant & we look forward to returning.

Really nice restaurant, rather quiet, but we like that. Our meal was good... our only constructive comments: 1. The half an iceberg lettuce with a dressing on top with each meal was a bit odd. Tasty but odd. When it was served it was placed in front of us, like it was a dish in its own right - we were unsure what to do with it? We don't usually eat half a lettuce with a meal, and despite our best efforts, left quite a lot! 2. I had the surf and turf and the lobster was chewy - for the price tag it could/should have been cooked a bit better. £119 for 1 course each, 2 glasses of rioja, and 2 pints of Madri - we planned on having dessert but after a long wait decided not to bother. Would possibly try again! The steaks were nice, onion bake tasty, staff helpful, restaurant clean, ample parking... just a few tweaks would make this 5/5 ✔️

Sorry for long review Would give zero if I could visited today with my 8yr old special needs son on entry greet very pleasantly and seated promptly drink order taken sadly this was the last good customer service we had I had to call over different waiters and members of staff the whole time we were there waved over bar staff to ask could I order he went to get our waitress who he couldn't find so he came back to take order himself bless him he was not familiar with the iPad and really struggled next came the starter burnt garlic bread with nearly invisible cheese after waiting ages I then flagged another member of staff to ask could she check on our food as my son was getting flustered she never returned so asked another waitress who brought out our food my steak was ok more rare than medium but ate as was hungry my son ordered tomato pasta and meatballs well he wouldn't even try it the pasta was well overcooked and mushy, the meatballs were stale ,dry and overcooked no one ever came to ask how food was etc I then had to call someone else to order desserts this was the only course my son ate I ate part of mine at this point we got up to go pay the bill as nobody came around I asked the waitress as my son did not even touch his pasta could she alter down from a 3 course to a two course which I thought was fair she said she'd ask to which another member of staff came to tell me she'd have to ask someone else at this point my son was starting to get worked up with waiting i wasn't going to complain and advised the lady that I would just pay as the cost wasn't worth the being passed from one person to another I informed her that the customer service was absolutely atrocious and they need some training as it's really letting them down I have ate at miller and carter for years and regular attend Crewe branch I have never had any issues I am usually not a person that complains but feel that people need to know what the service is like if your expecting miller & carter service do not goto middlewich I will not be returning...
