We haven't tried the hotel, only the bar and restaurant. They have extremely friendly and welcoming staff, the place looks and feels modern and fresh, with bespoke hand-blown LED light fittings and classy, well maintained furniture and high quality luxury vinyl 'wooden' floors. The place is super clean and everything seems in good order, and the beer tastes good. They had a refurb around 5 years ago but you would be forgiven for thinking it was more recent than that, which is a testament to the management. There is plenty of air conditioned seating inside, an area attached to the main building which is covered much like a wedding marquee, and then a huge outside stone-flagged 'decking' area, half covered, half open, with a large marquee or posh tent to the far end and some tented booths to one side. They hold regular events in the 'tent' and there's a great area of wooden play apparatus for the kids to play on, as well as a miniature football pitch, which should keep most kids occupied for a good while. The grounds run all the way down to the canal's edge. The food is good. It's not write home amazing but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I had a "Kindo Signature Burger" which actually was super yummy, and our daughter had their fish fingers which she said were really yummy too, but the chips were just chips and the scampi was just scampi (nice enough, just nothing special... we also tried the loaded fries (on a recommendation from a friend). There were very nice - we had the cheese, bacon and BBQ chicken loaded fries. We would have preferred mayo to BBQ but the dish was nice, and would make a great accompaniment to a few drinks. A nice touch in the restaurant inside is the presence of little electronic 'service request' hubs. You can press a button for a waiter/waitress or for your bill or to let them know you've finished, and this system works well. We were served by 3 different members of staff during our meal but a 7.5% service fee was added to he bill so there was no need for a single person to attend to us. I've already been back, and will go again.

First of all - I'd return in a heartbeat! The staff at The Kinderton were so accomidating to my needs and super friendly, following through on my request for an iron board and fan for the hot weather. They go above and beyond for you and get it done quickly so your not left waiting. The room itself was a nice size, bigger than most larger chain hotel rooms and very clean throughout, with lovely new looking furniture. There is not much wrong with The Kinderton, but if I was being picky. It would be nice to have some sort of AC installed into the rooms, but I understand that this may not be doable as its also not a large chain hotel with the funding for that. Perhaps a fan in each room as standard? The bed being very "springy" is not very friendly for a side sleeper who sleep on the edge, as it feels like it your about to fall off and seemed to get hard through the night. I had a lovely shower with it being very powerful, however I then found it odd because the water pressure on the sink was very low for hot and cold? Breakfast was nice, did not rate the sausages as they were abit hard and the mushroom was abit soggy but the rest was lush with a great option of cereals and cold juice. Dinner was fantastic as The Kinderton and the prices were not "break the bank prices" and you are given quality. The Duck was sublime and to die for, the brownie was epic on day 1 ... Day 2, depsite some really noisy and rude boys that seem to be on a mission to get drunk. The T Bone is a must have if you can warrant the price and I believe it is well worth it as it came to my desired doneness. My only complaint here would be that 1 of the waitresses was abit in here own world. The Biscoff Cheesecake took an age to come out but was light and felt luxury with how creamy it was. I have stayed in some dives during my work and personal travels and this place does not deserve a negative review. Ignore the few negative reviews as I would happily return and highly recommend if you are visiting Middlewich!

Came down from the Lake District for a 40th Birthday at the Kinderton, we booked 3 rooms for the family so we could make the most of the party, all the rooms were clean, well presented and of a good size. On the evening of the 40th Birthday, we were very impressed with the outside function area, a big marquee with heating, pleanty of seating, a dance floor and best of all was the service button on each table, press the service button and someone came and took your drinks order before returning with your drinks. We were lucky enough to get the same young lad most times. Jack was like our own private table attendant and was also on duty for our excellent breakfast the next morning. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a lovely pub. Thanks to Jack and all the staff that ran round all night making sure the 40th Birthday, along with all rest of the pub were kept fed and watered. Great job, hope we didnt keep you all up too late.

On arrival there was plenty of parking if not at the hotel a free car park adjacent to the hotel.|On entering we were greeted by Leanne who checked us in speedily and showed us to our room. |My fist impression was that the hotel bar and restaurant area was large modern very nice decor, again our room decor was very nice a good size bed dressing table and chair, also a good size wardrobe too. The hostess tray had a good assortment and mugs rather than little cups. With being an old building the floor was slightly uneven but this is to be expected.|The en-suite had bath with shower over and heated towel rail, good selection of toiletries as well. The down size of the bathroom for me was that it was very small being a large lady with mobility issues I could not get into the bath for a shower I also kept scalding myself on the towel rail as it is very close to the toilet. My husband was fine with the facilities it’s only because of my mobility and size that I struggled.||What I really want to shout about is the excellent service from all staff nothing was too much trouble, service always with a smile they even put a bell on each table both in the bar and restaurant to call for service. ||We ate at the hotel both nights and the food was lovely if not sometimes rather on the large size especially the chilli, one portion would have been plenty for two. Outstanding dish salmon croquettes.||We enjoyed it so much we have booked to go back for a little break next April. I have been assured I will be in a room with a separate shower and only a few steps to the room. Only one room was available when we booked for our previous stay.|Forgot to mention breakfast included and was delicious to very good quality. ||So thank you to the team you all exceeded our expectations and we are a fussy couple.||If we could go back before...
