Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in England

Sorry only 3 star for Saturday...I arrived at a quiet time paid for fish and chips at till...no one at till just me I choose to sit right by cooking area and expected to be served daily quickly as they had a pile of chips ready but no fish.. I was in a hurry so I thought good... I waited for quite a while and nothing happened the people on the next table along went up twice asking where their food was ... Looking over I could still see the same pile of chips. ,",,keeping warm,,," then.i saw a piece of fish arrive put under heat .. two or three minutes later fish was still say there...

In the time prevíus the young girls who were meant to be serving were chatting and laughing ...a rare occurrence happened as someone was going round clearing tables ..a few of the staff were leaving and having a cuddle etc .

Two staff stood staying at the orders on the computer screen and my fish was still there and a container of chips ...,.. So I walked up to till and asked for a refund as I was running out of time ..and mentioned that the fish had been stood there a while and the chips in the Bain Marie were going to be cold /warm anyway

The reply was new chips were just coming and fish had only just been put there...

I had a refund and was on my way ..the staff were too friendly with each other rather than too worried about serving people..

Oh I had to clean my table...

This is an unexpected find. It had been a long emotional day for my wife and I and we just wanted a something to eat without having to go into a pub/restaurant for a full meal. We decided to pop into Morrisons to see what we could get, ie a sandwich, fruit etc, when we saw the café. Bearing in mind that by this time it was around 6.30pm we didn't expect it to be open, but it was. We decided to share the meal as I only wanted a sweet whereas my wife wanted something a little more substantial having eaten very little during the day. We ordered a small Scampi, chips and peas, syrup sponge pudding with custard, a pot of coffee and a cappuccino, Cost £8, absolute bargain. The food was good, tasty, couldn't fault the service but there was only one other couple there so cant comment what it would be like during the day. We would both be more than happy to eat there again should we find ourselves in...

Bank hoilday monday, breakfast half price which is great but our experience was absolutely awful with 3 young children made our order at 09.47 waited over 2 hours for our order which ment our children missed breakfast and was classed as lunch. Not very happy as they were short staffed so they shouldnt of taken so many orders which they could deliver out on time. Many people who came in after us received their order before us. When we asked numerous times where and how long our order would be kept on getting not long. Very bad experience for us as family who very rarely go out to eat. Will NOT be using them again and will NOT recommend to anyone....
