Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in England

If I could give this cafe 0 stars, I would. Whilst I'm not usually particularly fussy, this cafe stood out for all the wrong reasons. When we arrived with our 2 children, we found no clean tables. After cleaning our own table to sit at we waited an awful long time for our coffee, we had to ask where it was, to find it was left on the counter going cold. We witnessed plenty of other people cleaning their own tables, cooked food sat in the hatch for at least 5 minutes before being collected and served to patiently waiting customers. All tables surrounding us were left un-cleaned for the duration of us being there.. the table next to us had left their receipt.. we looked at the time of purchase out of curiosity, the time on that receipt was an hour and a half ago! Proving tables are sat untouched for hours! Absolutely shocking service. Whilst the staff were not particularly rude, they most definitely had a 'cannot be bothered attitude'. Total waste of money & we would never eat...

I was with my group of coffee ladies and decided we would go and check out the cafe refurbishment. We had to sort the table first,then I waited for them to go up and order coffees using the new touch screen machines. Difficult for some, elderly or have a disability. when they was done I went to the sign that said pay cash here . I was told that I couldn't order from there I still had to go to the touch screens . A can of drink returned to pay cash sign . Staff asked me to wait, and I waited and waited 5 mins is long when you just want to pay for a can . I had to shout at her in the end. I went back with my friends coffees came they were almost done . This is ridiculous I caught a member staff 20 min waiting for a can . Waitress explained it's the system we can't just hand over the can . We have to do in order I get this to a degree, but it's still a can . AND THE SYSTEM...

The staff on the counter were very friendly and accomadating, the servers from the kitchen were not so friendly I had to wait 40 minutes for my order to arrive with an egg that was solid a sausage that was burnt aless than cooked tomato and no butter for the as it had been placed on the plate and melted , pretty poor effort for such a simple dish This site will not allow me the opportunity of a 2nd review but hear it is .... please can someone explain how on earth it takes over 20 minutes to serve a toasted tea cake The staff on this particular day had no personality they Al oozed ike the had sucked the juice out of lemon Service with a grimace , this will be the last time I will...
