First visit to any of the branches of MyLahore. This one in Blackburn is easily accessible for anyone travelling westbound on the M65 motorway and coming off at Junction 6. Large car park around the restaurant with 3 designated disabled spaces close to the main entrance. Car park looked in good condition, bays clearly marked and no discernible potholes. Also notified four charging points for EVs.

Initially impressions were good. We got a warm welcome. Inside looked very clean and tidy. Also well lit. As we had gone early Thursday afternoon it wasn’t busy so we had plenty of options on where to sit.

Menus were on the table. Quite a range of options. I think you would be hard pressed not to find something you would enjoy on the menu. However, I already knew what I wanted from looking at the menu online beforehand. I wanted the Special Mix Grill. My brother went for the Lamb Handi on the Bone. With this we asked for side orders of Pilau Rice, a portion of fries and a Garlic Naan Bread. For a starter we decided to share the Combo Platter. We also ordered some drinks. The restaurant is alcohol free but the menu has a sizeable selection of non alcoholic drinks.

Right from the beginning our server, Affan, was excellent. Really friendly, helpful and efficient. Made us feel very welcome. Could not fault him.

I would estimate the starter took about 25 to 30 minutes or so to arrive. A sign perhaps that everything was being cooked fresh. Really enjoyed it. Very tasty with a bit of a kick from the spices on the meat. It included a chicken and a mutton seekh kebab. Also a meat samosa with some chicken strips and a lamb chop. With some careful use of a knife the portion was big enough to share as a starter for two.

Mains didn’t take long to arrive after we had finished the starter. The Special Mix Grill was huge. In fact many people could share this and have a filling meal. There was loads of freshly grilled meat on it. Several types of chicken including wings and two mutton chops.Again a chicken and a mutton seekh and a very large piece of succulent grilled fish. The fish was unexpected. I’d missed it on the menu description. All cooked really well. The food was full of flavour with a nice kick to it. Nothing overpowering but just hot and spicy enough to make your mouth tingle.

The lamb Handi was again a good portion. My brother had asked for medium and was glad he had. He though if he had gone for the hot it would have been too much. And the portion of pilau rice he got was huge.

In hindsight we probably shouldn’t have ordered the fries and Naan bread. Nothing wrong with either. In fact the fries were excellent and reasonably priced at £2.95. But our mains were very filling without the side orders. We had absolutely no room for dessert after our meal. We were stuffed.

Based on this visit I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and giving it a 5 star review. Really enjoyed our visit. Great food with great service and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning in the New Year to try some other dishes...

We had the pleasure of dining at My Lahore tonight. This restaurant, offering a unique fusion of British Pakistani cuisine, consistently delivers not just outstanding food but also exceptional customer service. It’s a rare combination, and one of the reasons it remains a favourite of mine.

Tonight, we were served by Dawud, who was incredibly attentive and went the extra mile by checking the ingredients in our drinks to ensure they were safe. His thoughtfulness truly stood out. Shebby, as always, was a joy—always smiling, always happy to help, which just adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit special.

We started with the Veg Samosa Chaat, which was a perfect blend of textures and flavours. The samosa was crisp on the outside and filled with savoury goodness, paired beautifully with chickpeas, potatoes, onions, cucumber, and tomatoes. The spicy yoghurt sauce added a delightful tang, while the imli sauce brought a touch of sweetness, and the crunchy papri crackers on top added the perfect finishing touch.

For the mains, we tried the Lasagne, which came with a brilliant Asian twist. The pasta was layered with Desi-style mutton mince, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, and cheddar cheese. It was rich, hearty, and full of flavour, with a subtle spice that made it a unique and exciting take on a classic dish. The portion was generous, and the basil garnish added a nice pop of freshness.

We also ordered the Baked Parmesan, which featured a butterflied chicken breast coated in golden breadcrumbs and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the toppings—spicy mutton mince, onions, peppers, and MyLahore’s special sauce—gave it a bold, spicy kick. The cheddar cheese and jalapeños added a wonderful layer of richness and heat. Served with crispy fries and house garlic mayo, this dish was nothing short of fantastic.

As always, the décor was snazzy and modern, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring every detail of our meal was perfect. It’s clear they care about both the food and...

Came with wife and kids. Very nice ambiant atmosphere. Plenty of parking on premesis. Staff are very helpful and kind. Kids were given colouring book and crayons as they were waiting, which was nice.

We ordered the chicken nuggets meal for kids. Gourmet Burger meal, Chicken Parmesan, Molton Cake, and the Chocolate Fudge Cake. In all of the meals, the presentation and traditional serving technique just made it special when given the food. Loved that aspect, and the kids loved it.

Just want to put it out there that many people were advising me that their experiences with undercooked food and food poisoning were numerous and were trying to keep us at bay from trying MyLahores in Blackburn. But I can honestly say we did not encounter such a thing. Maybe the more traditional asian curry and rice dishes I may request to ensure well done cooking for any meats.

Altogether, the cost was £44.20 so it was inexpensive.

Kids loved their kid meal, nice and tasty succulent chicken, and standard fries. The Chicken Parmesan meal was cooked well, but I felt it was lacking a little flavour on its own unless the garlic sauce was added, which is an amazing sauce. I can tell it's made fresh. The Gourmet Burger meal was cooked well and had nice flavour, but i was hoping to have a little extra kick of spice, which it didn't. It was decent still, and to be fair, maybe if i tried adding the mint sauce from the table, it could have elevated it. Our favourite was definitely the molton cake. It was rich and packed full of flavour and the ice cream was lovely. Could not fault it. The chocolate fudge cake was really nice too, and the kids devoured it quickly.

Overall, the experience was good. The actual waiting times when sitting at the table waiting for the food could be improved. We waited 30mins before we got the meals. I would come again, but i may try the more asian style mains to highlight the chefs speciality. Will deffo come again even if without the mains for...
