KFC Blackburn - Whitebirk Roundabout — Restaurant in Hyndburn

Food was mostly fine, chips a bit sorry looking and greasy, chicken strips were nice and crispy and still reasonably hot after short drive back to work. The 2* is for I'm sorry to say the young lady serving at the hatch. I appreciate she was busy, taking drive through orders whilst taking payments and handing over the orders however, I handed over the cash for my order, the server offered up the receipt and a £5 note, as it was windy I took them, as she offered them, with my finger and thumb. As I she released them the change dropped to the floor, this was were her customer service let you and herself down. No apology, she actually shrugged her shoulders and may have even drilled her eyes at me, before I had chance to even speak she had turned away and the sliding window closed. IA moment or two passed she returned with my drink, then passed the food. Before the window closed I expressed excuse me, can we do something about the change ? I said I would pull forward if can stop the car behind from moving I'll get my change. So I did, she did, and there was the change, well some anyway, there should have been £6.52 - I had the £5, there was two 50p and a 2p. Erm there's no more change her, this bit really got me a bit concerned, the young lady actually said "oh, I think I forgot to give you the other 50 pence" sorry to say or even think this but, I didn't believe her. I think this was done maliciously for her own personal gain and should be brought up and questioned about it. Very nice service from a nice charming helpful mind lady. She helped me what I wanted from the menu. The service was good Wow.. In few seconds my order was hot and ready! Despite they were so busy with drive thru orders.

3 of the 4 hand wash dispenser in the all gender single area was empty. Both have dryers working. But was very very clean and no bad smell.

Very nice ambience to sit in the dining area and good privacy with wall planks between each area against the wall.

I got " mighty for one".£8.79 Get 2 large fresh cut chips . They were amazing.

Get 2 proper large very tasty chicken pieces. Mind you one was to much bone. Boohoo The 2 chicken strips were great in taste but like the chicken pieces oily to Bristol city center KFC I tried 18 months ago.

The chicken wings coating is very beer different to KFC in Bristol( last time I tried KFC 18 months ago). Unsure if changed the receipt since it different here. It was more spicy and very thick coating. I like it. But the wings I think we're smaller to Bristol KFC.

I definitely would love to find to this KFC again and try a different bucket assortment next time.

But the large roundabout is for me difficult to be in the right lane to get off, ended up twice times around it before I was in the right roundabout lane! Lol.

Totally recommend this place. I'm told open 10am to 10.30 pm eat in and drive thru...

Bland bland bland! Apart from the gravy which was really tasty (I assume made off premise and just warmed up here), or maybe because I came in just after 12 it was "fresh". That may also explain the good service I got as it was quite quiet at the time. The chicken looked but lacked any taste, the wings especially was disappointing. Chips could have done with being in fryer a bit longer and again was bland. Atmosphere is nice as is the new building. The rest room is mixed gender entrance as well.

2nd review: I needed fuel so thought would give it another try and get a takeaway. What a disaster! First off I ordered on self serving machine, got no receipt luckily I remembered my order number. I went and told the person behind the counter but could hear someone say it's not been giving receipts (but could see they weren't doing anything to fix the issue) anyway I went and fuelled up a full tank of fuel and even went to the gents before going back and it still wasn't ready. Then when it was finally ready I noticed my Krushems was missing so she made it quickly. Got home ....and my son's chicken nuggets and chips nowhere to be found. Instead there was daredevil bites! Completely unsuitable for him as he's only 3 years old. Food was average, Krushems...
