After reading TripAdvisor reviews I decided to go for Naan instead of the others because their food looked authentic and there were actual Indians who gave it good reviews too.
Went along and was received very well, lovely host and comfortable atmosphere. We ordered the lamb biriyani and a chicken tak-a-tak (never heard of this dish before so I thought i'd give it a try). They served poppadoms and usual dippings, the mango lassi was mainly yoghurt with a little dash of mango in it and a bit too thick, the lamb biriyani was absolutely brilliant in every way, the spice, the texture, the tender meat and presentation were all spot on. You know when you are eating an authentic biriyani as opposed to some curry and rice fried up together!!
The chicken tak-a-tak, was a bit like a Jalfrezi, in that it had lots of sweet peppers, but not as hot as a Jalfrezi dish. It is a dryish dish like a bhuna but with enough sauce for the generously sized naan bread (house specialty).

Read moreA breathtaking blend of traditional authentic Northern Inian flavours, so masterfully balanced that it reveals the chef as a true artist of his craft . Naans that were both crisp whilst melting in the mouth! Sauces that are instantly recognizable as homemade and the undeniable freshness of it all will make a curry convert of even the fussiest fan of Indian cuisine. For the first time visitor, take my advice; don't fuss over the extensive menu but instead order the taster menu, which offers a wonderful introduction to Northern Indian cuisine. The cost? I went with my sister and 3 courses for two (which was sooo much food, that we took doggy bags home) came to a very reasonable £40. Service was very attentive and extremely friendly. Already looking forward to my next visit and will be bringing my Indian and Pakistani friends. Totally...
Read moreWe had a booked a table to celebrate a special occassion for 9 pm on Saturday evening and on arrival were told to wait initially for 5-10 mts and then after waiting for half an hour near the door ,were then told that we had to wait at least for another 20-25 mts if not more .By this time after having stood at the entrance for such a long time we were quite upset as the whole occassion and the evening seemed to be a waste and as we still didn’t know how long the wait would be so we left . There was just a luke warm apology from one of the staff . It was really upsetting as they could have just told us when we rang up to book that they were busy or that they did not book any tables and we would not have gone. Very very disappointed and really hope that they are not so insensitive and no one else has to go through this harrowing...
