I had one of the lunchtime specials - kebab wrap, chips and can of drink for £6.90. The kebab was one of the best I have had - tasty meat with a good texture, fresh salad, chilli sauce with an appropriate level of piquancy, expertly wrapped in a chapati style flatbread.
Kebab shop chips tend to be a lacklustre token offering so I wouldn't usually order them, however Noor's chips are comparable with the best chip shop chips - tasty and slightly crispy rather than greasy. I would have these again, even on their own.
The portion size is best described as "generous" - since the wrap was cut into equal portions and the chips served in a separate container it could easily be shared between two, making it £3.45 each (plus the cost of an extra drink) which is exceptionally good value. I ate it all myself so towards the end it started to feel like a "man vs food" challenge (I won by a nose).
In the interest of balance I can't really give Noor credit for a can...
Read moreCannot beat their kebabs! Have been ordering here for a fair few years now and can't fault them....or so I thought....
Ordered big this evening (8 of us) after paying and eating our takeaway at home we thought we had been overcharged when it came to totting up the bill....(Working from an old menu) I popped down there and politely asked if we could work out the bill together as I thought we could be owed some money.
They worked off of their current menu while I said what we had eaten, and (as I'm sure you can all guess) came to the conclusion that we had paid bang on (talk about a tail between your legs moment...)
They were polite and courteous about the whole situation and understood why due to the old menu situation plastered around online.
Hopefully this review through my own honesty and mistake will mean you'll give them a try as ultimately I cannot fault them or their...
Read moreWe came to try Noor because of the glowing reviews 😂 Noor is unlike any other takeaway it sells everything fish n chips, curry, pizza's ect ect. This did send alarm bells ringing we tried it anyway because it was closer. The kebabs are different to other takeaways rolled in a Lebanese flatbread but you can't eat it like a wrap because its ripped and the filling is breaking through. The filling is diced up very small and it is all covered in a orangey hot flavour lacking sauce. You can't taste the salad or the slaw because it's all mixed in the hot sauce. The kebabs were cold! It's not a traditional kebab and I doubt they do a traditional fish and chips or a typical curry. If you are not sure about Noor go with your gut feeling No...
