Quirky in the best way — the kind of place where you half expect the furniture to start telling you stories. The staff were lovely, and the vibe makes you want to linger over an extra drink (or three).
Food-wise, it was a tale of two plates: one absolutely bursting with flavour and a real winner, the other… let’s just say the bacon was more bits than rashers (although portion size was ok). So it wasn't bad, just not quite "yes I want more".
All in all, worth a visit for the character, the welcome, and of course the gin (but I'll save that for later in the day, not quite up to a gin...

Evidently it's been discovered by the mature section of the populace... Prices were good too. Recommended Visited again in march for breakfast and again had a really good experience, avocado and poached eggs on toast...
Read moreLovely gem of a place. Called in last week whilst waiting for my car to be fixed. I had a raging cold and felt awful, the staff were so attentive and made me a hot toddy, a wonderful panini and lovely pot of tea. Really nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. I endeavour to return without a horrible cold! Look forward to it....
