Oddfellows Arms — Restaurant in England

Went to do a quiz that was advertised. Called in to check a few hours before (It is rule #1 to check beforehand) to see if it was on. It wasn't. I told them their phone wasn't working, she implied it was not their fault. I told them their quiz was advertised today, she said it wasn't (advertised). I showed her the advert she said it was not their fault. These people don’t deserve a pub - not that mistakes were made, just the total refusal to own them. Not even a 'sorry' (NB yes, both of those, perfectly understandable, mistakes were their fault)

I have not edited the post above, though I would make very slight alterations. Instead of dissecting the reply from the landlady below, I would point out that the reply encapsulates my points, however imperfectly they are made. Failure to admit to perfectly understandable and easily...

A lovely rustic pub,

Claire (new Landlady) was very welcoming and has the pub looking very cosy...

There is a separate games room just to the rear of the pub offering comfy seating, pool table and darts

An enclosed grassy seating/ play area at the rear of the carpark is ideal for the little ones to play safely, big enough to kick a ball around should they wish.

Oddfellows is a dog friendly pub oozing with character and has lots of outside seating for the warmer days/evenings.

Having just moved into the village we have found Claire and the team to be really welcoming. The Oddfellows Arms is at the heart of Davenham and their commitment to serving the community was evident on Sunday 4th May 25 with their community fundraising event. Live music all day, free burgers (with a donation to charity) entertainment for the kids it was a great day. I recommend a visit to the Oddfellows Arms to see...
