Outset Cafe — Restaurant in England

I had my car in for a service and so needed a place to work. This place was lovely and warm, and real cosy. The hot chocolate was boss. I was there for a while so I ordered a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast and then a ham and cheese toastie for lunch. It was all reasonably priced and very tasty. By far, the thing that made the whole experience is the waitress Mel. She was lovely, friendly and chatty. Lots of people came and went and she knew the vast majority of them by name. My organisation recently delivered a three-week training course at The Outset, and the experience was excellent. The staff were friendly and supportive throughout. A big thank you to Chris and his team for making the three weeks run so smoothly and creating such a welcoming environment.

Special mention to the café team – Mel and Keisha – who were both incredibly warm and friendly, not only to myself but to all of our learners. The sandwiches, teas, and coffees were brilliant..

Highly recommended. I am staying nearby, dropped in not expecting the quality of service and consumables. I didn’t get the name of the ex-Brixtonian lady who served me but she was delightful. Ms. Brixton, I’m sorry I didn’t ask your name; you made a next-to-perfect flat white and a panini-grilled pain au chocolat which is a method I’d never considered and it was amazing.
