Went on NYE. When I booked, I wasn't told it was a set menu. Neither was anyone else around us. The choice was limited. I'm lactose intolerant, which I told them about when I booked, so could only have one dish on offer. Not good enough.

Service was abysmal. They had nowhere near enough staff on to service the numbers they had.

I couldn't order drinks for the table, because nobody came. I had to go to the bar myself (then, at the end, the waiter didn't believe me and tried to charge me for the drinks again).

After an hour sat at the table, we'd had one poppadom each, as that's all we were given. Loads of dips, one poppadom each. Only the fact that we still had drinks prevented us from leaving prior to the starters arriving. Starters were simply not big enough for the money charged.

I asked for a replacement napkin, but ended up having to get it myself.

The real kicker? They added a 10% service charge to the bill. When I said I wasn't paying it, they literally said nothing else to us.

I'll not...

Waiter taking food order was quite abrupt but I put that down to being the first people in there and maybe he got out of bed on wrong side. Anyway main reason for 1 star was the pink chicken I was served, I told 2 waiters and tbh ey did nothing. I asked for the bill and they tried to charge me for my uneaten chicken I had to say I wasn’t paying for it as it was pink and I didn’t eat it. I was then asked as to who I told I pointed both waiters out to be told oh no they don’t understand - well if they don’t understand they shouldn’t be waiting on tables asking if the food is okay if they can’t understand that I said no my chicken is pink ….. eventually they agreed to remove the chicken korma. I won’t be going back myself I am sure others have had a pleasant meal and a cooked meal for me I will be sticking to Desii restaurant in Widnes rather than here PS- I took a photo of my chicken and when I told them that is when they said they would refund - yeah...

Such a shame!! Have visited here before and food and service was great.

Recently rebooked for a special occasion and the whole visited was a shambles.

The table wasn't ready and it was obvious that our booking had been overlooked. Instead of apologising and offering some complimentary drinks while they sorted themselves out, they just tried to cram us in.

In the end we was waiting 1.5 hours for our food, they messed the order up and left us at varying times without drinks.

The waiter was stressed and rude, although he did apologise later into the evening when he calmed down.

There was a definite language barrier and the waiter rushed taking our order which is why it was wrong.

When the food eventually came it was nice but the 2 English meals on our order were inedible.

Understaffed for a Saturday evening and disappointing. We did receive a round of complimentary drinks but only because I complained.

Will not...

1st time eating here. We were passing on our way home from a day out and we are so pleased we chose to eat here. The best Indian meal we have ever had! Fresh, cooked to perfection, spectacularly delicious food. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. The staff were very attentive and one man (I wish we'd got his name) in particular was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Even the kids (age 6 and 9) were very impressed with the whole experience and said they would definitely like to come back there again.

I really want to love this place being our local Indian but every time it let's me down. The food is more expensive than competitors and despite the restaurant almost always being empty it takes FOREVER to get your food. A sign of it being freshly made? Maybe so, although the use of excessive oil just spoils the curries and overall its poor :( you leave feeling like you've consumed your weekly calorie intake

Terrible place! Food was awful, full of oil and grease...sickly sweet chicken tikka masala. Service was shocking. We were in there for over 2 hours, just waiting about. And then the waiter tried charging us £10 more, this was even after he had worked out the bill on a calculator. Then he snatched the card machine from me. Check your bill!
