Our first here a few years ago wasn't the best, but the kids were keen on going back, we were a little saddened to see that the outdoor play area had gone but it was too hot 🤣 The staff were lovely, so friendly and were so happy working! Such a refreshing change to see and the kids loved it! The food was lovely, it is on the pricey side, the majority of my meal was lovely, the onion and courgettes were a little undercooked for my liking and I was missing the balsamic gravy. I would say that the kids meals are more targeting towards younger ones. My eldest is 11 and the kids burger was rather small for his appetite! However an adult meal would have been far too much. Desserts went down a storm, raspberry sorbet is amazing to cool down on a hot summers day! Siobhan did amazing at taking care of everyone whilst we were there despite being the only one on front of house at one point!

Came here again this morning to complete some work on site... Chris is a fantastic seasoned landlord... Been here for 23 years and takes a great deal of pride in his pub... Always very welcoming and accommodating each time I visit. The Griffin is Steeped in boxing history and memorabilia this great local Boozer has bags of character and interesting focal points across the walls... The cleaner does a fantastic job, place looks bright and cozy. Thanks for looking after me today Chris, very much appreciated 👍🙂

I came here a few days ago with my partner for lunch to try somewhere new. This place didn't disappoint. It had a really simple but lovely menu, i had a fish finger ciabatta and my partner had the sea food grill. Both absolutely beautiful. Both had desserts too, the cheesecake and the salted caramel sundae, both were gorgeous. The lady that served us was so kind and kept checking to see if everything was ok. (Rebecca? I think she was called.) Definitely will be coming again!

Went for a Sunday roast very poor frozen plain roast potatoes one tiny piece of broccoli and a few carrots but lots of dried up garden peas. We asked for mint sauce and apple sauce which was provided in two small saucers but no spoons to serve them. Beef had more fat than meat and all the food was luke warm. Ordered drinks my gin had 7 large chunks of ice in the glass which is well over the top. My husband was asked if he wanted another drink but waitress totally ignored the fact there was 2 of us and just walked off. Waitress noticed some rubbish on the floor instead of picking it up just kicked it to one side ? Very over priced for what you receive. Will not...

We were a party six having pre booked on line for a Sunday afternoon. I had been to this pub/restaurant many years ago and my recollection was a very average place to eat. The recent visit was absolutely excellent. The staff are helpful, the food was outstanding with all six of us more than happy with our choices. The bar has an extensive range of beers and wines and drinks and food are a reasonable price. I will be happy to return and would actually be willing to recommend it to friends. Well done to the staff and all people working in...
