I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pickels, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that set the perfect tone for a great meal.
The menu offers an incredible variety of Indian dishes, each packed with rich, authentic flavors. I tried the butter chicken, which was perfectly creamy with just the right balance of spice, and the lamb Rogan Josh, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The freshly baked garlic naan was the perfect companion to soak up the delicious sauces.
Beyond the food, the service was top-notchāattentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff took the time to explain the dishes and even recommended pairings that enhanced the experience.
Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Pickels is a must-visit. Iāll definitely be coming back to explore more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBooked last minute on a Saturday night with no issues. It was very busy when we arrived and it did take some time to take our order and bring the food, but it was busy and the staff were constantly on the move bringing food out and clearing away, so Iām not marking them down for this. We didnāt mind waiting as it was a good atmosphere there. The food I have to say was worth the wait, it was absolutely delicious. The best Iāve had at an Indian restaurant in a long time. This place was quite the contrast to the one across the road we visited two weeks prior. They donāt serve alcohol there but you can take your own. This wasnāt mentioned at the time of booking (online) or on the confirmation, but it didnāt bother us, just handy for those who plan to have a drink with their meal to know beforehand. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and myself visited Pickles while in Market Drayton on business on a weekday evening, we popped in at about 19:30 on spec so they were relatively quiet, we were instantly shown to a table by a young gentleman, their approach to the customer was absolutely spot on. "So polite". This is a non alcohol retaurant to which you are allowed to take along your own tipple, maybe try popping into the new public house (The William Chester) which is a few doors away first! Our food came to the table and it was magnificent, it was NOT greasy at all as indeed many Indians are.. the steamed rice is perfect. Don't just take our word for it... get yourself along and try it... and... don't forget to leave a review.. See you again soon...
