Sunday 12th December 21:
Another absolutely delicious Sunday roast lunch with this time, our family! It's definitely one of the best Sunday roasts available here in Market Drayton! The chefs, all the staff, the warm, cosy atmosphere and great drinks and ales all brewed here at Joules's Brewery is just amazingly perfect. Thanks again for a fantastic service, food, friendly staff and welcome... YOU ARE ALL STARS...WELL DONE! See you again soon and definitely before Christmas...
Tuesday 16th November 2021:
Popped in with two boater friends whom had never been to my favourite Inn and Joule's Brewery. A big shout out to Megan, Jake, Natasha, Becca and Emma who served us all throughout the evening with huge smiles and warmth and for looking after me when I stayed a wee bit longer to have something to eat. Had the house Classic burger, with coleslaw and chips and boy was it delicious or what...and went down perfectly! Thanks David and Ashley in the kitchen for a most tasty burger which was much needed definitely!!
Sunday 10th October 2021:
Reserved ahead a table for 4 of us for the Sunday Roast dinner lunch in the gorgeous panelled dinner area as our boater friends did make it in time for this to happen, just perfect!
The staff were absolutely brilliant and so friendly and welcoming from our arrival. We had cards on our table with a set out selection of what was available and what we would like and these were used for the staff to go and plate up for us at the carvery food area. So much better than having to wait in line and go and serve oneself as per normal in other restaurant or pubs we've been to for a Sunday roast dinner lunch, how clever and well thought out....well done Joule's Brewery, Market Drayton!!! The 2/3 courses lunch prices were such excellent value and obviously we had the 3 course option...However, we shared two starters as well as two puddings and it worked out just superb. The two rounds of starters were

By Joule's, it's good to be back...at last!
Still my favourite pub/Brewery on the canal by far and the Chardonnay and my pint/ or three actually of Slumbering Monk Ale was perfection and so welcoming.
We popped in for some lunch and decided to have two rounds of the Tender Rump Steak, caramelised onion and hot horseradish Bloomer Loaf sandwiches...wow, absolutely delicious and yummy! What an amazing place and maybe I should keep it a secret and all to ourselves! Thanks to all the chefs and kitchen and A BIG SHOUT OUT to EVE and BECCA especially for making us feel totally at home again, so welcoming and very friendly makes us want to come back always..
We're thinking of bringing our boater friends here for a Sunday Roast Dinner meal if they get to Market Drayton by then or on time...
May 2021: One of our favourite pubs come Brewery and the brewery itself is pretty amazing..you can actually see them brewing the Joule's ales through the big glass floor to ceiling windows...the smell is extremely deliciously sweet and hoppy, chocolatey, coffee...yummy!! We've visited every time we've chugged into Market Drayton and the food is fantastic and the drinks as well...especially their own Joule's ales and Green Monkey craft lager. I usually drink the Joule's "Monk" ale and it's a gorgeous, delicious pint and definitely one of the best out there! The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive...and the service is top notch, well done to them all. Thanks for such a lovely time Joule's The Red Lion Brewery..
ps. Try their special "sweet potato fries" which are absolutely yummy! These light nibbles go really great with your delicious pint of Joule's ale or fantastic glass of white...
Read moreMixed feelings about this place. Lovely pub, nice setting, lots of space etc.. We came 4 Sunday dinner & I ordered the standard carvery but was disappointed at the portion size. I got 2 minuscule roast potatoes & one small new potato. I have come away hungry 😔 The food was lovely though, we all enjoyed it. Moist turkey, melt in the mouth beef & tasty veggies. I've read the reviews on how good the service is so all I can say is we must have come on a bad day as they were dreadful. Staff were moody & unattentive. When I asked if my dinner should have come with a Yorkshire pudding (as I had beef & turkey) she said no as we gave you stuffing so I said could I have one & she rolled her eyes & walked off. I did get my Yorkshire in the end but everything seemed too much trouble, her attitude was terrible & made me feel everything we asked her for was irritating. We waited half an hour before we were offered desserts, we asked to see the menu & waited another 20 mins or so before I had to go & ask again. No apology, just another eye roll. Hubby had crumble for desert which was lovely but the chocolate pudding was over microwaved & hard with very little custard. I would go back as the over all place was nice, but if I had a repeat of that service we most certainly...
Read moreWe ate here yesterday having booked several weeks in advance as we had arranged a family holiday in the local area - we were looking forward to enjoying Sunday lunch together. We were seated promptly - my chair felt extremely wobbly and literally on its last legs! I requested to change it and on handing it over to a member of staff, it fell apart! For 14.30 hrs on a lunchtime service, what ensued from the perspective of whoever is in charge of food procurement was unbelievable… I ordered paté however they’d run out of bread to serve it with and crackers were offered as an alternative, I declined. My nephews were really looking forward to the cheesy garlic bread…. again, they had run out! My son ordered the burger but… yes, you guessed it! ‘We’ve run out’ !!! We were moments away from getting up and exiting stage left at this point! Everyone enjoyed their main meal, I was hacked off at having to hack through the roast beef with a butter knife and gave up. I felt sorry for our waitress - none of the above was her fault - the round of complimentary drinks was a nice gesture. This said, I don’t think any of our party will be rushing back...
