Pizza Roma — Restaurant in England

If I could give zero stars I would. I have never experienced such an appallingly organised mess before. Tried to get through on the phone for over 1 hour, no answer even when it rang, no answer. Turned up, firstly some guy pushed Infront and the guy behind the counter ignored me. Then when asked if I had ordered, I said no but I'd like too, he turned round and started asking if anyone else was waiting. Finally the guy took my order, this was written on a scrappy piece of paper. I sat down and waiting, 30 minutes went past and people who had ordered after me, got their orders. The guy who then took my order, then asked me what I had ordered...they had lost the order! He then took my order again and I asked, how long? He went 'who knows, we are busy' so I said considering I have been sat here for 30 minutes, I expect my order to be ready now. He shrugged his shoulders and said 'sorry we are busy'. Disgusting customer service and respect, the entire takeaway needs to be reorganised as I wasn't the only one who's order they had lost/forgotten. Food wasn't even that good either, certainly not worth the wait or attitude from the guy from behind the bar. Never returning unless it is taken over...

Was looking for dinner whilst staying in Appleby and thought I'd try Pizza Roma.

Wasn't disappointed, the cheesy garlic bread (pizza base with garlic and cheese) was a meal on it's own. I also had a Chicken Kiev Calzone, which was generously filled, hot and tasty. The 10" garlic bread and 12" Calzone did two meals (despite being "starving" following a day on the hills) and both reheated nicely the following day. I have had better pizza but this was good and excellent value.

The staff were friendly and the service reasonably quick...

Visiting the area en route home from a cycling hiking holiday in Scotland. I admit my expectations were not high as had initially hoped to dine at the Royal Oak, who stopped serving at 8pm (sat night). Settled for takeaway at Pizza Roma as recommended by our Guest House owner Anne. No pizzas unfortunately so had the chicken kebab XL and Diner kebab L.
