Pizzeria Liri — Restaurant in England

Food was good but one of the worst services I've experienced:

Waiter brought our mains before asking if we had finished our starter.

Was offered another drink but didn't receive it until I asked again 10 minutes later.

Wasnt offered dessert which we would have wanted.

Had to take it upon myself to go to the till and pay as we weren't offered the bill. Also had to confirm what we had as he "didn't write it down".

Wasn't given any water when we asked for it.

Other patrons had to wave down the staff to order as they all seemed to be either out the front having a drink or chatting in the kitchen.

The place was empty so have no excuse about the poor...

I went here a short while ago for an evening meal. We decided to have starters and mains and service was very good - personal and warm such is the feel and nature of the place. The place is very small, but nonetheless is a comfortable place to dine. It seems to me that the food and menu reflect very accurately what would be served in an actual restaurant in Italy. The quality of the food was very good - I had a bruschetta to start which was excellent, and had a pizza for main - which perhaps had a little too much cheese but had a lovely light base; easy to digest. I popped in for the first time last night and ordered a pizza to take away. I had a lovely friendly greeting and the pizza was very tasty. My only complaint was the tomato sauce on the pizza went all the way to the edge but the rest of the topping was about 5 to 6cm from the edge. I will give them another try though as they were so friendly.
