Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Met a friend for a coffee, I thought I would treat my friend because she had broken her leg. The service was good and the drinks were nice but shame about the atmosphere and the harassment I got from the staff. My daughter and her friend were sitting drinking their drinks and because my daughter had ADHD she finds it hard to keep still at the table, her feet are all over the place but she sat with her friend quietly. The member of staff came over to tell me to tell our children to keep their feet off the chairs & tables. Which at the time they weren’t but I must admit at one point they were but I told my daughter to keep her feet off the seats. Then the second time another member of staff told me to get the children to take off their shoes! I was astounded by this. I’ve been to many Costa coffee shops before and never had a problem. I have never met such a rude member of staff in my entire life. I visited this Costa today and tried to use a gift card that I believe had a small amount of money left on it. As the staff member (who I believe was the manager) swiped the card, her till froze and broke. She somehow blamed me for this, and after multiple times of throwing her hands up in the air in annoyance proceeded to bin my gift card and storm off. Throughout this entire interaction she didn't say a single word to me, but merely communicated through a sequence of angry hand gestures and grunts. I am genuinely speechless at such poor service.
