Paid almost £6 for an iced latte with oat milk and syrup (no choice on the board without syrup?) and was given the flimsiest plastic cup with an “iced coffe” in it containing all of 3 ice cubes therefore being lukewarm, the ice cubes melted within the 5 min walk back to my spot on the beach, then making it watery and gross. After a few sips I realised the coffee contained what tasted like 3-4x the amount of syrup usually added to iced lattes meaning it was extremely sweet and void of any quality coffee taste expected from the £6!! Then!! I realised the oat milk had gone off, it was chunky and tasted kinda sour adding to the already watery, sweet disgustingnous I’d paid a ridiculous amount for. Immediately asked for a refund which in their defence they gave no questions asked. But £6 for such a horrendous state of a coffee is ridiculous!! Gone off milk, 3 ice cubes, too much syrup and bad quality over all. Extremely...

I’m honestly sad and sickened by how I was treated over something as small as an alcohol-free cider.

I ordered the cider knowing it was alcohol-free — that wasn’t the issue. The problem was that it just tasted terrible. I gave it a fair shot, but I couldn’t finish it. I politely asked if I could exchange it for something else (even something cheaper), or just get a refund, and was told flat-out no.

No empathy, no offer to help, just a cold, “we can’t do that.” For a drink I clearly wasn’t enjoying, that I wasn’t asking to return unopened or untouched — just swap it for something else. I wasn’t being difficult, just human.

It’s incredibly frustrating to spend money somewhere that doesn’t care whether or not you walk away satisfied. A simple act of kindness or flexibility would’ve gone a long way. But apparently, once they have your money, that’s the end of the conversation.

Disappointed is an...

I thought I had already reviewed Poldhu but it may have been on Trip Advisor.

We turned up at Poldhu one afternoon in October 2014 and I was blown away. The sun was just beginning to set and cast a magical silver sheen upon the sea. I was spellbound.

We were famished but the guys at the cafe were just packing up for the day. They took pity on us though and made us chip butties. Top chaps.

I will see if I can find some photos I took....

....Ok...How do you add photos? I had hoped it was the "Add Photos" button but it appears I am mistaken.

Aaah the old ones are the best eh Google? Mug him off by making him think his photos aren't uploading but really they are. So he uploads the same one multiple times.

Nice.

Anyone remember when Google used to be a useful...

Dear young lady in the cafe counter: Very appreciated to let me know how to handle with parking around the beach even though you couldn’t give me any change due to the cafe-policy*. * The cafe is not changing coins for your parking. Dear Folks, please be reminded that the official parking lot operated by Cornwall bureau near this beach is only accepting ‘cash’: meaning that ‘coins’. I have really struggled to find ATM but it was impossible to find but one lady gave me 70p. to park. The parking is free after 17:00 so the only coin that I needed was exactly 70p. Thanks your highness the unknown lady for saving my time. Other than this, there was a very kind officer supervising the parking lot helped me to find free-parking near the beach. The beach was great anyhow!
