SHOULD HAVE GONE TO ICELAND!!! We had reserved a family table for 7 for 5pm on Saturday evening 19 May 2018. We ordered our food and drinks without an issue. However, firstly,the dishes all came out at separate time intervals. Secondly, two of us had ordered scampi and chips, the scampi had been fried and was burnt, so I sent mine back. The other two people in the party ordered chicken burger. which was meant to be served with salad. When it arrived, the burger bun was dry, the chicken was clearly a frozen chicken breast as it was not fully cooked, the salad consisted of one salad leaf. The burger was meant to be topped with cheese, the cheese was one of the cheese slices you get in a wrapper, plastic cheese, It was disgusting. Another party member ordered the gammon and fries with an egg. When the dish finally came out it sounded nice as it was sizzling but when my father actually began to eat the gammon steak it was tough, so tough he couldn't eat. it. Then the two kids meals we had consisted of pizza, the pizza was a microwavable frozen pizza, again the kids refused to eat the food as it was disgusting. I asked to speak to the manager as at this point the scampi dish had been brought out again, I was told cooked from fresh, but it was clearly the same dish just re-heated. I told the manager our complaints and that we had to send the food back. He admitted that all the stock they receive at the pub is sent by head office and it is all frozen stock. I was gobsmacked. He took not accountability as a manager of the venue and when I asked him how he was going to rectify the situation, he made no attempt to come to a resolution, we didn't even receive an apology. He just said, 'madam, we are not an a la carte' restaurant. I couldn't believe my ears. He admitted that all the food received is frozen. Absolutely terrible experience. Read moreWe order ours food , 1 signature chicken burger , 2 signature millionaire and 2 kids chicken nuggets. When the food arrived to ours table the waiting staff put it down and it was all the wrong food 2 kids burgers and a single chicken burger,waited to see any member of staff to let them know about the mistake. She was like surprised when we told her and asked us what we order we told her and she say ok kids is wrong but the chicken burger is OK, I have to pick the menu and show her it was wrong as she took it back and come back with the same burger but with 1 tiny peace of extra chicken on top and supposed to be a pull chicken, we have to call her again because was missing the bacon the sauce and something else but can't remember now. So she took it back and bring it back. We order before the same burger and it was completely different taste it have a different sauce on it last times spice and more tasty. We order second round of drinks again on the app and after 15 minutes when we all finished the food I had to go to the bar and ask for it. Waiting staff say they don't receive the order on they side and the same with the desserts. Food and service very poor quality this time. I working on customer service F&B department and understand sometimes can be mistakes but it shouldn't affect the quality of food in anyway, I am normally not writing bad reviews but you have send me a message asking to do it so here it is. Read moreWent in today at 12pm first table in, I've been going in for around 18 years and the place have always been hit and miss for the food, I always have a crack with the staff laugh and a joke and are always smiling, today I asked to set a tab which is best under current conditions, no problem was ask to put my pin in then the card was given back........ Said I had a free drinks voucher was asked for the code!! Drinks were brought over and food order was taken came over and said can I have your card again gave lady card was ask to come to bar for my pin number!! Then asked for my bill paid.. Get home three separate transactions now I was confused bear in mind were the only people in there with 4 members of staff we have had to ask to get severed twice, between them 4 can't set a tab or not to communicate with me to let me know otherwise then after saying I've a voucher for a free drink our corona which was on 2 for £5 was given as my free drink which is £4.20 so not free whats the point in sending a free drinks voucher, I made it quite clear that a free drink was wanted not in conjunction with any other offers!! Also it's shocking to see how slow the service is in there.. Everyone who works there seems to be a chief with no Indians, its about time the area manager gets a grip of this place
