Quatties Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Went to buy food there an wasn't happy with it at all. Firstly I came to eat a Jamaican meal a was asked non stop about the jollof rice which wasn't the point of my visit at all but fair enough to promote it, secondly I order a large oxtail meal and a large fried fish meal.

I was surprised when I opened the package as the portion were so small that was incredible, I had the half of an half of the same portion of a sea bass pack that you can find at lidl (for example), I was asking myself but how must look the small portion

Dumplings were socked with oil. The coleslaw was just awful and for sure not homemade.

The guy behind the counter was trying to push me to buy many other products like he already knew I would never come back there, so just try to make his biggest sale of the day on me as he saw I was enthusiastic about buying the food.

Was saying things like you can have some cake too! It's Fresh out the oven... meanwhile the cake was right in front of me and was looking dry like it was there for weeks.

Came out of the shop thinking, what is wrong with this guy? And also feeling ripped off by the way his demeanour was. Like this guy wanted me to buy the whole restaurant like he thinks I'm stupid or some.. and all this before to discovering the smallest food portion that I ever ordered in a restaurant.

I was almost taking it personally at this point. I felt really disrespected and ended up really disappointed.

I'm not the type to go wild on reviews at all, I really do respect people and their business, but this is really deserved at this point. Worst food order...

I had my first order from here last night, and my goodness it was one of my favourite experiences to date! I ordered online, and whilst one dish was out of stock, it was dealt with quickly and effectively with excellent communication. When I arrived, I was greeted so warmly it was like visiting family. Caribbean food is one of my favourite cuisines, and the food exceeded expectations. We had the mutton and chicken curries, which were very well seasoned. The meat fell off the bone and was so juicy and tender - I have never had chicken so perfectly cooked before. We also tried the juices which were really refreshing with the spicy jerk chicken. The saltfish fritters were the perfect texture. It's about a 30 minute drive from us but I'd happily drive a lot further for such good food. I will absolutely be back regularly and I would highly...

Have ordered several times and never a problem. Early delivery and this is a Saturday night....
