This was our first visit here but it won't be our last. In the dining area it appears that approximately half the airy and spacious room is frequented by the residents of the nearby 'retirement bungalows' and occupants of the apartments which are part of the same building. The other half offers tables and a mixture of comfortable bench seating and conventional chairs. The service was friendly and efficient and the hot food was served on hot plates. This doesn't happen in all establishments where we have eaten in the past! There were 'specials' on offer but - arriving at 1330 - there was only one choice - Cornbeef Hash - we both opted for that and it was delicious. Gravy was in a separate jug as was the optional brown sauce. There was a selection of home made cakes and puddings. I had the egg custard and it was every bit as good as my wife (rarely) makes and I don't (daren't) often say that!
