The meal got off to a good start. The poppadom and pickles were very good. My starter of spinach and paneer puree was the best thing I've tasted in a long time. The main course however was not so good. I ordered fish jalfrezi. The fish was very overcooked and the only other thing in the dish apart from one chunk of green pepper was lots of large pieces of barely cooked bitter tasting onion. The sauce was so under spiced it could have passed as baby food. The lemon rice (one of my favourites) was flavoured with very bitter uncooked chunks of lemon rind. My companions seemed to have a similar if not quite as disappointing experience me. The tandoori sizzler main course had an whole onion on it that was never going to be a pleasant thing to eat (good for bulking the serving dish though) The nan bread was spot on. If they don't alow you to bring you're own soft drinks at least they could serve an can or an individual bottle not some flat offering from a large bottle. The staff were efficient but towards the end we felt like we were being rushed out they never offered us a desert which we would of had. I'll not be going back there's just too many alternatives doing a better job within a...
Read moreI entered the premesis on the 7th of August at 17:58pm. Within a nano-second, the aroma of fresh and fragrent spices began scintillating my nostrils. This sensation led me to becoming a ravenous individual, which is why I was delighted when the memebers of staff escorted me to my table, it was like I was the starship enterprise going into warp. Once my buttocks where planted firmly on the 'DFS level comfort' seats, the food that was served to me was on a level so good, it was as if I had never experianced flavours, until I took a bite of my scrumptious king prawn sagwala. The combination of spices sent my taste buds dancing, jiving and doing the cha cha cha to the point where I was have deep and meaningful thoughts such as 'what is the meaning of life without a king prawn sawala'... and this was just the first mouthful. The service was stupendous, the food spectacular and the overall experiance sensational. I will definitely be returning,...
Read moreWe love the staff are absolutely wonderful but very professional in that the food ordered is served as you are ready . Very helpful with assistance with menu choices and we love the fact you bring your own bottle of alcohol as they only serve soft drinks, but it means you're not paying restaurant prices which makes the menu price extremely agreeable. It's local to many residents in the area and they are most helpful and do not rush you. I'd say try and book but we've turned up and they've explain when if full a table is available and you can pop to The Oddys Pub very nearby and have a drink before your table is ready. So winners all round. And we walk there, how...
