Santorini — Restaurant in England

I booked out this place for my partner's birthday. I'd never been here but my partner loves Greek food and the reviews looked good so decided to take a gamble. The owner, Fred let me come earlier to set up the decoration. I had an ABBa theme planned out since that is how we met and brought music to play. Fred also had a microphone set up so I decided to include karaoke at the last minute.

My partner was just expecting a small family dinner so you can imagine the look on his face when he walked inside and saw a filled out restaurant with all his friends and loved ones.

I had pre ordered mezes for everyone and the food came promptly. We had dips and lots of small plates to share with just enough time to watch my partner and his mother sing a duet before the main dishes. I had a kelftico which was so delicious and there were plates of grilled meats to share. My partner had a moussaka and he ended up polishing off my food as well.

The staff had to include a bit of Greek tradition so they taught us the zorba dance which was hilarious since I don't know my lefts from my rights, especially not after a couple of drinks. I think I had about 8 shots of ouzo and a few glasses of wine by the end of the night

We're sorry for all of the chaos but thank you so much Fred, Maria and all for making it an amazing night for my partner and all of us. You've blessed me with many great memories - I am tearing up writing this.

It's raining and it's 4 degrees outside. The conveyor belt is turning and soon you will collect yours. You are present with your body but your mind and your soul are still there in your last vacation. And this is just the side, let's talk about the main: delicious souvlaki, tasty moussaka, melt in mouth beef stifado and you are back in the hellenic flavours. Mezze for everyone and vegetarian too. Dolmades, tzatziki, halloumi, lountza and spanakopita are there waiting for you as well as the owner and his wife, what amazing persons. I found this restaurant on Google after typing in Greek restaurants near me. I decided to book a table for me and my sister as we both love Greek food. The place is very hard to find, we drove past it two times and we couldn't find a parking space to begin with. We had a 5 month old baby with us and we had to carry his pushchair up the steps to the restaurant then carry the baby up. The layout looks like somebody's house with a small bar and a dozen tables in the main restaurant area. The female host was delightful, very chatty and very welcoming. We went for the meze which came out pretty quick. To start we had pitta and various dips, then a plate of halloumi, loutza, battered whitebait and spicy Cypriot sausage. We then had our main which was the chicken moussaka (which was soooooo nice), a Feta salad and soulaki chicken. I really enjoyed the food and it wasn't too much either, just the right about.
