A Culinary Journey at SoPa Thai: A Symphony of Flavors
I had the pleasure of dining at SoPa Thai, and what an experience it was! The moment I stepped in, the ambiance whisked me away to a realm of Thai elegance and charm.
The culinary adventure began with Tom Kha, a harmonious blend of coconut milk, galangal, and lemongrass. Each spoonful was a delightful dance of creamy and tangy flavors, perfectly complementing the succulent pieces of chicken. It was not just soup; it was a warm hug in a bowl.
Next, the Green Curry arrived, gracefully plated. The curry was a masterpiece, rich with the depth of green chilies and sweet basil leaves. The vegetables were crisp, and the chicken melted in my mouth, all swimming in a sauce that was the right balance of spicy and sweet.
Then came the star of the evening, Pad Thai. Each strand of noodle was coated in a luscious tamarind sauce, mingling with eggs, tofu, and a generous sprinkle of crushed peanuts. The dish was a vibrant tapestry of textures and tastes, leaving my taste buds in awe.
The grand finale was Mango and Sticky Rice. The mango was ripe and sweet, a perfect match for the warm, slightly salty sticky rice. Drizzled with coconut milk, this dessert was not just a dish but a celebration of flavors.
In conclusion, SoPa Thai is not just a restaurant; itâs a gastronomic haven. Every dish was a testament to the chefâs mastery in balancing flavors and textures. If youâre seeking an authentic Thai culinary experience, SoPa Thai is the place to be. Their Tom Kha, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice are not just food; theyâre a journey through the heart of Thailand. Highly...
Read moreVisited on Saturday 6th Sept. We were very disappointed, the service was bad. Before I continue, I presume they were extremely understaffed as I canât believe that the other reviews are true!
Itâs a small restaurant, where takeaways are given priority over customer service of the restaurant clients. Takeaway customers were standing next to tables waiting for their food. It took 10 mins to get menus, another 10 for someone to take our order and 15 mins later we were still waiting for drinks when only 3 out of the 4 drinks came. After another 7 mins we asked the waiter where our other drink was in which he said yes your drink is coming. 1 hour after being in this busy uncomfortable restaurant we had to ask where our starters were, as 2 other tables who arrived 40 mins after us had already received their drinks and starters. They had obviously had forgotten our order and we received no apologies for this or informed of it. We really should have left after this. The food was average, and 2 starters 4 mains, 4 cans of pop and 2 beers came to ÂŁ135! 2 other tables near us seemed to have a similar experience to us with very long waiting times and lack of attention, and one couple after finally receiving their food asked for it to be put in takeaway boxes and left.
Unfortunately as much as my family were looking forward to trying this restaurant, I would not recommend it nor will...
Read moreThis place could be amazing, the staff are friendly, the food is amazing one of the best Thai food weâve had. But if youâre out for a nice evening then I wouldnât recommend, itâs a shop in the day and a restaurant at night. We were sat at the very back of the restaurant, among cardboard boxes, shelves, I had a fax machine to my left and the toilet on the right, at one point we had Just Eat standing over us about 4 of them talking about what was going where, our starters came out at different times and it took ages for the mains to come. My husband and myself just laughed, I booked it and my husband said where have you brought us (in a joking way) we asked to move when a table became available, but it was just a strange experience. Like I said this place could be amazing, but it just doesnât have the right set up or professionalism to it, itâs...
