Just to let you know that the meal delivered tonight was basically inedible, we asked if you could do a prawn Pathia as it is a favourite for one of us, you said yes but then delivered a container clearly marked as Bhuna, which they don't like; the butter chicken was overly-spiced and tasted like a Rezala - nice but not what the person ordered and therefore a let-down for them as they don't like Rezala. We ordered 2 lamb dishes - a Balti Tikka Jalfrezi and a Devil's Tamarind - but in both meals the lamb was totally solid, sinewy and unchewable, probably because the lamb was pre-cooked as tikka, cooled so it toughens up, and then just chucked into the new sauce to heat through. Even the rice was a fail - both the mushroom and pilau rice were underflavoured and watery...we also priced up the meal on the website, and somehow an order that costs £63 on the website cost £68 over the phone...I don't know what happened tonight but as you're closed this message is to let you know how poor the food was and that we will be posting these complaints on other review sites. We don't want apologies or money-off vouchers; we want your food...
Read moreRecently, I had the pleasure of taking my girlfriend out for dinner at Tamarind Bay, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. Despite it being quiet, there was a comfortable buzz that made the place feel welcoming, without being overwhelming.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Tikka Masala. It was a culinary masterpiece, perfectly balancing the rich and creamy sauce with tender, well-seasoned chicken. The flavors were a testament to the skill and attention to detail of the chefs.
The staff at Tamarind Bay deserve a special mention for their friendliness and attentiveness. They made sure our dining experience was nothing short of perfect, attending to our needs without being intrusive.
In summary, Tamarind Bay isn't just a restaurant; it's a delightful culinary journey. It's the perfect place for a quiet, cozy dinner where the food and the atmosphere combine to create a memorable experience. We left with satisfied palates and the certainty that we would be...

We were the only ones in but due to the time and being a weekday we put it down to that... we ordered.. while sat waiting for our food the waiter was walking up and down looking, the atmosphere was horrible we just wanted to leave, the starter arrived and it was not edible again waiter walking up and down looking at us, strange as we had just been served our food it seemed like he was waiting for us to complain. We didn't eat it all as it was awful the lamb was tough as a leather boot, couldn't eat it. At that point I wanted to go so said we will have our main as a take away... we paid £60! For it to go into Tesco bin. I wanted to complain from the get go but my partner said just pay up and go wish I did know. But lesson learned check reviews on a place before entering when your not from the area!! Worst Indian I've...
