I dont know what was going on here. However we were booked in for 8pm. Table of 5. The place was full yet no atmosphere. No sense of any organisation 2 young lads front of house seemed very inexperienced and lacking in direction. The 2 elderly people who appeared to be senior had no sense of organisation or direction. Was asked if we wanted poppadoms at 8pm. No sign of them at 8 40. Could see kitchen from where I was sitting. No sense of anything happening. Lots of staring at orders no sense of any cooking occurring. Paid for our drinks at 8.45 and left had a takeaway from elsewhere. Never experienced anything like...

Have had a takeaway from here a few times, first couple of times the food was cooked to our taste which we'd asked great, so we returned as really impressed however the next few times food wasnt up to the same standard and on one occasion we were both really ill for a few days after eating the food we had ordered. After this I did order once more to give them another chance but the standard of food again was nothing like the first time we ordered and I'm not sure I would return again as I'd only be wasting my money. Taste of India in Darlington is a decent option for Indian food. While the taste was good, the food was undercooked which was a little disappointing.
