This b and b is fresh on the holiday market. It's a traditional house that can be booked per room or as a whole house. Each room is beautifully decorated with tv, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a large country kitchen with a farmhouse table and chairs with coffee machine, cereals and coffee and tea. The top floor consists of a suite, two bedrooms, a double and two single beds with a bathroom and landing, ideal for a family of a group of friends. There is a stair gate and an extra food up bed is available. The ground floor room is suitable for wheelchair access and this room accepts dogs. All rooms have beautiful bedding with extra pillows in the drawers. The showers are brilliant. Breakfast is included which is delivered to your door before you wake. It's fabulous! It consists of fresh fruit and yoghurt, locally made pastries with jam and butter, fresh juice and locally made granola . There is also a welcome tray. This has a delightful gift which will alter throughout the year as well as drinks and snacks. This includes a welcome letter. Parking is available at the local pub, the badger hounds, as well as a discount on meals taken there. These need to be pre booked as the pub already has an exceptional reputation. Stephen and Andy run both the pub and b and b and on hand for any...

A rapturous welcome from Steve & Andy made our visit that extra bit special.

We visited during the Covid pandemic and their grasp of being Covid secure is truly excellent and you literally couldn't fault their handling of keeping people safe.

Right, back to my visit, we had two meals over two nights. On the first night we had the standard menu, mine was a Burger with chips and coleslaw with a choice of cheddar or Yorkshire blue. I went for the blue. Delicious, although we ordered from the standard menu, we clocked the special board for the following day. Andy couldn't promise but he did say that the items we chose would be on the specials next day. Were we disappointed. No we weren't .... But then he added rack of lamb to the specials. We were torn, what we had chosen the night before (Seared Pork medallion and Sea Trout) or the rack of lamb. The lamb won, OMG simply the best meal I have had out in a very long time (even pre-covid). It was so good we didn't have a dessert, we ordered an extra portion to share between us.

This place is definitely worth the visit but because of Covid I would book ahead if you want to be indoors. There is a lot more seating outside for those who...

We we're staying just up the road in a hotel and had this restaurant/gastropub recommended to us. It is very nicely decorated, very comfortable and the owners were very welcoming. We got a table straight away and within a couple of minutes we had our menus and had ordered a drink. Our food arrived and I had ordered the Chicken Parmo that came with chips and a garlic mayo. It tasted really good and was of an excellent standard. It was quiet and we were able to chat between courses. We asked for the dessert menu and got it almost immediately with a wide variety of choices available. I would recommend the Vanilla & Blueberry Cheesecake dessert, it was served with fresh fruit and cream. I must say it didn't take me long to eat at all. We didn't stay for much longer after the meal but the bar area looked nice, music was good and it had a really nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

First time eating here since the new landlords have taken over.....very impressed with the food and the presentation....it was cooked to perfection and generous portions ....well done to the chef...we had succulent salmon steaks on a pancetta, spinach and crushed potato stack in a beautiful cream sauce & the most amazing and huge chicken parmo served with homemade chips to die for ....we'd highly recommend and now be eating here on a regular basis!

A friend and I popped in on the off chance, having been unable to find somewhere to park further down the coast. I am delighted we stopped here, the place is a delight. Friendly, good food, well kept beer garden. Sadly no proper beer on when we went, but this was soon after they reopened. That aside it's well worth a trip and the soft drinks were fab and sensibly priced for the quality. I plan to return.
