The Beigel Stop — Restaurant in England

Edit: My opinion has changed slightly after my second order. I used deliveroo this time as i had a voucher but the beigel was sub par. The salt beef was dry and the portion size I'd say was half that of what i got actually going into the place. Sorry, but i had to be honest.

Original review: First time visiting. I do love a salt beef beigel but you'd be surprised how many places do a poor job of it (lakeside has one such establishment 👀) but i was pleasantly surprised with just how good it was. The beef was melt in the mouth tender with not that much fat and the beigel was fresh and just how i like it. The place itself looked clean and the staff seemed friendly enough.

I know places like this are struggling with extremely high operating costs so i won't moan about the price too much, it's just a shame i can't be eating this more often because i definitely would be! And at the end of the day a brick lane beigel is more expensive and i rate this one just as good.

We had beigle with jerk chicken, filled beigle with biscoff spread, jerk chicken rice box and bbq chicken rice box...and oh my I was impressed. The jerk chicken was really succulent and moderately spiced. The rice was good. The rice box comes with salad - a typical farmer's salad which was OK.

The rice was well cooked as well. I was expecting typical hard rice you get served in restaurants sometimes but was positively surprised.

There was a bit of delay in bringing the food to our table, at a point, I thought they forgot we were still waiting. But being a new place I understand they have new people, still being trained so I'll let that go.

All in all, a good experience and good value for money - especially...

Landed from our honeymoon and we’re both craving bagels so drive to the first well reviewed place from Kent. We were not disappointed!

The place is clean and clearly well looked after, good atmosphere and the music is excellent.

The fellas in there were all great, lovely staff and happy to accommodate.

Now the food was 😚👌🏼

I had the breakfast bagel and it 100% filled a void in my soul. My husband had the salt beef and a southern fried chicken bagel (big boi) and they were both just delish. Generous meat to bagel ratio with good amount of condiment application.
