Woodlands Edge — Restaurant in England

Well, after several years of nice food and good service, that streak came to an end on our most recent visit. The menu has drastically changed and reduced the number of vegetarian options significantly. We were not told upon ordering our food that one of the dishes was out of stock and were allowed to pay for this. When food came to the table, the dish was missing and nothing was said until we queried this with the waiter. They offered to cook something else and gave us the gluten free menu for a vegetarian which had no vegetarian food on it!

Came to the Woodland Edge today for my brothers 75th birthday. We were a party of 4 adults 1 child and a toddler. Food was delicious, portions were very generous and great value for money. The chef did you proud (I'm told his name was Gordon), Gary was an excellent waiter and Becca was brilliant at the bar. It is the 2nd time we have visited this month and we plan to make many more returns. Thank you for the positive experience. I've been coming to the Woodlands Edge regularly to take part in their Monday night Pub Quiz, and it's simply a fantastic little pub. The atmosphere is great and I've never felt out of place or unwelcome and I like that it's a bit quieter than other pubs. Food and drink is very reasonably priced, and I can comfortably say I've never had a bad meal or pint. The staff are friendly and provide a great service.
