The Bell — Restaurant in England

Visited on 9th Nov and have to say it was the worst pub experience for a long time. I have been visiting this pub for over 7 years and has dropped to a new low. Poor customer service, missing bar staff who were complaining and swearing behind the bar. Dirty bar, toilets, general feel. Not what you want from a local pub, will avoid next time and visit the Griffin, or Odd Fellows Inn opposite with open fire and friendly staff. Watched quite a few groups come and go who also got fed up with the attitude and poor service. Don't bother to visit, go to one of the other pubs in Toddington to spend your hard...

Check the reviews. Some say no food, owners say, contrariwise, we've got the nosh you want. I can only say that my request for food for myself and party, at 13:30 on a sunny Thursday was, 'Sorry, no, no food today' The lady behind the bar didn't actually add, 'Don't you know there's a war on', but that's how it felt. This is a pretty pub in the historic centre of an attractive town. It should be full. Got the impression the pub was a bit clicky. Got gawped at by what I assumed were regulars when we walked in to get served which is no biggy, but whilst ordering our drinks I was interupted by some of them too. Perhaps they wanted the pub to themselves, well they are welcome to it. Hopefully it will go bust and they will only have themselves to blame. Shame, it used to be a good...
