The Bistro Toddington — Restaurant in Great Britain

On enquiring what a bacon and cheese lunch consists of i simply wanted a bacon and cheese roll...and she said its a bacon and cheese bap...so I expected that to arrive ..when ordered came to the table it was the full meal of burger bacon cheese and chips ..which was never mentioned...I admit I did not say anything then as was so taken aback...when settling the bill we mentioned this and she said I will adjust the bill as she could see the error...bare im in mind none of the rest of the food was touched as would never in Million years would I have had this ..I commented the bill had not been adjusted and she replied because it had been served we had to pay !!! If we had said straight away she said she could have eaten it herself for her lunch...I just think this was VERY unfair ..so the bill was 27 pounds for...

Visited for lunch today. It was not very busy, but we waited over 10 minutes to be served and in the end we went up to the counter to place our order and paid. Then waited about for the food to be served over 15 minutes. I ordered the club sandwich and I would have expected more the a single rasher of bacon with my order. All other customers were taken sauces following their orders, but we had to get up and get them from another table as we were not offered any. I would have actually said something but no one came over to ask how the food was or seemed interested. We ate and the food which was nice and my wife enjoyed the egg, chips and beans, no one acknowledged us when leaving to say goodbye so again we could not...

Sick of this place and won’t be going again. Service is terrible (most of the staff at any one time are children). Last time they watched us sit there for 5 mins looking at the menu, only to tell us when we got to ordering that they don’t serve food after 3. Time before that, we ordered and they forgot about us for 40 minutes (wasn’t even busy). So much more worth it, despite being a bit more expensive, going to the garden centre on the other side of the motorway for a short walk and much...
