Enjoyed an evening meal here while staying in Shrewsbury for the weekend. All our food was freshly made and nothing was frozen not even the chips! Meals are decent portions and very competitively priced too. Would certainly recommend and will return when in Shrewsbury again.

The Bird in Hand is a traditional community pub. There is a good selection of beers, lager and cider, including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when we visited. It is a nice cosy multi roomed pub with friendly staff.

A Cask Marque pub. Two rooms separated by the bar. Two real ales. Albrecht had Wye Valley Butty Bach over Black Sheep Blond. Good pint. Large rear car park. Very much a locals bar. Darts in one bar and Pool in the other.

We were a group of 10 people. Everyone really enjoyed the food. The beef and gravy was really tasty. Vegetables beautifully cooked. There was only one waitress who was lovely but a little stressed as she did have other customers. They had a good selection of non alcoholic drinks including Guinness.
